Hearing the reports on the radio, one judge got really hung up on the cell phone destruction.  Don't have time today, but being up here, I expect people to lose their collective shit.

Two to one ruling upholding the CBA agreement.

The 33-page ruling wraps up with this conclusion: “The parties contracted in the CBA to specifically allow the Commissioner to sit as the arbitrator in all disputes brought pursuant to Article 46, Section 1(a). They did so knowing full well that the Commissioner had the sole power of determining what constitutes ‘conduct detrimental,’ and thus knowing that the Commissioner would have a stake both in the underlying discipline and in every arbitration brought pursuant to Section 1(a). Had the parties wished to restrict the Commissioner’s authority, they could have fashioned a different agreement.”

One thing that stands out here is the fact that it was a three-judge panel, and two of the judges — Barrington D. Parker and Denny Chin — ruled one way. Meanwhile Judge Robert Katzmann (the chief judge, as listed on the decision) ruled in favor of Brady and the league. While it can be seen as a victory for Goodell and the current CBA, the result was less than resounding.

You mean the phone that he wasn't on the hook legally to hand over? You mean the one where the phone isn't needed to get texts and info off of?
Judge must be a liberal Jets fan or something.  :D

I'm afraid to turn on 98.5 or EEI. I will just listen to some cool jazz on the way home.

Another cover up.  Probably got suspended for HGH use but the league found another way to suspend him.

Yes, that phone.  It's really kind of odd, considering they didn't ask for the phone, but asked for Brady to just turn over the texts that would be pertinent to the investigation, and he would be taken on his word.   For some reason they refused that as well.

Who knows?  I still think if they just admitted that he liked the footballs a bit on the low side, and that the equipment guys may have gotten a bit overealous, this would have been old news and a 25k fine or something.

He has a pretty good season.  Dude is 38.  Manning was living on the HGH.  I'd be shocked if Brady wasn't also.

All Patriots fans wish that they would have taken this approach. Belichick isn't like that thpugh. He was determined to steamroll this and it fucked them. I blame Bill.

Funny though is who the fuck cares.  I can understand if the Patriot fucked with footballs on the opposing team but they didn't.  they only softened them a bit for themselves.  It's not changing the odds of the game.

Just seems the NFL is after them about something more serious, maybe even gambling or game fixing but can't risk telling the truth

When they took the balls away in the second half of that game, NE exploded on Indy and then went on to win the SB after that, and things were looking real good for most of this last season before the injury bug got to them.
(And some stupid out of the ordinary calls/plays). Every team looks for an edge, if you dont, youre totally stupid... (Chargers with sticky on their towels, Bounty Gate, etc).

The freaking Cardinals hacked into the Astro's team database (a federal felony) and that created zero noise. This air pressure thing is retarded. Like the talking heads who report it, and the sheeple who listen to them

Yeah, but this is a second offense for NE.  They were stupid here, in both getting caught, and the way they handled the situation.  Pure arrogance + second offense = big penalties.

He may but he never stops his diet or training.  Doesn't use weights either.

With all the injuries 2015 was a great season throwing for almost 4800 yards.

Yeah - his diet is pretty interesting.  I think he legit wants to play another 10 years.

He may want to but we all know all it takes is one bad hit. He took a beating last year with the O line literally running out of players.

He used to then I saw he switched to more band work. Maybe less pressure on joints etc.

You may be right. But I also think it really comes down to the parity thing. The NFL wants to expand their brand and bring more teams into the mix. I bet if the NFL allowed Miami, Buffalo or the Jets to move out of the AFC East but they would have to pay 100 million dollar penalty to do so, they would do it in a heartbeat. Just so they wouldn't have the Patriots in their division...It has to suck as a team to go into a season trying to play for a wild card almost every year before the season even starts. I know some Pats fans who want Brady to just take the 4 games and be done with it. They want to see what Jimmy Garoppolo can do. CAn you imagine if he comes out and lights it up in the first 4 games of the season? The AFC East could have another 10 to 15 years of Patriot dominance. That would be the NFL's worst nightmare...
