The teacher barely touched the little bastard and did not even hurt him. When I was a kid this was typical behavior for teachers. I have kids and see nothing wrong with it.

Honestly, I bet this could all be fixed with better diet, training, sleep patters and more solid homes (parents together)

Shit was not like this back in the day as all of the above was taken care of.

and you live in the Deep South? Where they had corporal punishment in the schools not too long ago?
corporal punishment was different, parents were asked for permission at the beginning of the year ( written consent) and its in a controlled manner, definitely not like what this assbag did

Back in middle school football practice the coaches would occasionally give swats to kids with the paddle.

The other poster is correct...before the school year started all the boys had to take a letter home authorizing the parents to allow it.

My children would never do something like this, we live in the Deep South and the majority of the people here are responsible enough to teach there children how to behave.  But with all that being said had my kid made this mistake and a male teacher responded in that manner I'd fuck him up, I'd follow him home and beat his ass in front of his whole family and then I'd probably do the same thing again the next day.  Then I'd go home get my belt and bust my kids ass.  You don't touch my kid , me and only me disciplines my kid.  Obey that and were good.

X2. Any parent that allows another person to hit their kid is a shitty parent. No one should be allowed to touch your children. Plain and simple. Especially when you're kids are still minors.

Its ridiculous that parents are even being asked permission. It shouldn't even be an option. No one should touch another person's child. And any parent that says its okay is a bad parent.

30 years ago this was a common way to discipline kids in school and no one raised an eyebrow.

Grade school kids got hit on the palm or ass with a leather strap.

Older kids got their hands smashed with a yard stick or pointer or they were dragged by their ear lobes and maybe even had their heads smashed together if more than one child was acting up. I remember one gym teacher hitting a student in the head with a basketball for acting up.

If the parents found out about any of this they didn't whine or charge the teacher. They disciplined their kid for disobeying the teacher.

I just don't understand how a parent could be mad about this. If I had a son and he was a big enough idiot to step up to an authoritative figure bump chests with him and call him a name not just a name but the n word I wouldn't be mad at the authoritative figure for putting my son in his place. I would be very ashamed at my son and pissed at him for being a shit head little basterd. Teacher didn't even hurt the kid he embarrassed him boo hoo.

If I went up to a coach and called him a mother effer I would expect to get bitch slapped. If I went up to my older cousin and said fuck you bitch I'd expect to get tossed on my ass. The teacher didn't even hurt this kid. My cousins, friends older brothers, coaches, old people basically any respectable adult you don't run your mouth too. You show respect and you don't lose your teeth.

It's kind of disappointing that people think kids should get a pass for this type of behavior. Kid is lucky to have his teeth.

There's a difference between "getting a pass" and the teacher losing his cool and smacking a 13 year old kid in the face.

The situation warranted it! Stepping up to a grown man and calling him the n word completely deserves a slap. Those were fighting words. If the kid shot a spitball that is one thing. He got in an adults face you don't do that. Kid went over the line completely. Teacher definitely could of handled it differently but he shouldn't lose his ability to teach. I would slap a kid too if they did that. If a 14 year old walked up too me got in my face and cursed at me I'd smack him upside his head too. How is this so hard to understand kids have to play bye the rules too. The teacher didn't best him. He hurt his feelings a little bit so what.

I'm not against the principal wearing his smart ass out with the paddle or the coach having him run laps til he pukes his guts out but it's got to be done in a proper manner. You can't have teachers flying off the handle like that.

sorry, but I would consider any parent to be a shitty parent who let another person assault their child, unless deemed 100% necessary. Let the parents do the discipline. If I was a father, I would not let any person touch my children. Plain and simple.

This did not warrant it. The adult should have walked away and reported it. Also, hes a in a school, it may be a slightly different story if the kid did this to some random stranger on the street. Teachers are held to a higher standard of care than the average adult. Thus, they are expected to respond in a different manner, unless their lives are seriously threatened.

Poly, even the paddle is unacceptable. Why would any parent in their right mind let another adult hit their children? Very strange.

No bs that is why America is so full of pussies. You never ever ever disrespect an adult to that level ever. If my kid had the audacity to ever do that he wouldn't want to come home. That kid won't get disciplined at home. They shouldn't allow that type of discipline but in certain circumstances like this they should make exceptions. That kid could of swung on the teacher imo. This was more self defense then any thing. Kid violated teachers personal space in a threatening way and calling him the n word is instigating a fight.

A kid that crazy who starts shit with a teacher like that is really really bad news. He isn't learning shit at home probably gets away with everything this isn't normal goofing around.

Then thats the parents problem. But if I was the parent, Id make sure my kid was disciplined when he got home. Let me handle my kid, not another adult. The problem is that youre assuming no child is going to be disciplined at home, thus the teacher should do it. This then also takes all power out of the parents hands. If that was my child, youre sure as shit he would be disciplined at home, and I would not want a teacher touching my child.

Disagree again. Unless the school teachers life was in imminent danger, this is taking it too far. As stated, a shitty parent would allow another person to physically hit their child. Maybe we should allow grown men to punch 12 year olds in the face? :/ Its even more problematic when its a school teacher.

Oh please, children disrespected their teachers all the time, in all different eras. There is this false notion that children back in the 1950's, 60's, 70's were little angels. Its kind of like the whole, "When I was your age, I walked 80 miles to school with no shoes on, and we never ever talked back to adults." Sure.  ::) I guess we forgot the 1960s and 1970s, where teenagers totally revolted against their parents and were out partying and doing all sorts of drugs, etc. Disobeying authorities, etc.

This is really ridiculous your thinking is absurd. There is something seriously wrong with a kid who goes chest to chest with a teacher and calls him the n word. This kind of aggression is extremely bad extremely dangerous extremely disrespectful. A bitch slap isn't even enough for it. Kid should be thrown out of school never allowed back.

This is typical behavior this is extreme. It's violent and aggressive behavior.

If someones kid ever did that too me I would do the exact same. I would knock them on their ass. This parents should apologize.

No, my thinking is not absurd at all.

I never once stated that he should not be punished, did I? Please point that out to me.

What I stated that it should be the parents doing the punishing and teachers should not have free reign to touch children, unless their lives are in imminent danger.

Also, if this kid is seriously disturbed, and has mental issues, which is leading to extreme forms of aggression, do you think one take down by a teacher is going to teach him a lesson and put him on the right path? If you think so, youre an idiot. If this kid is that bad, this incident will not set him straight. In fact, as he gets bigger, stronger, and older, and if his mental problems continue, it will only get worse. Trust me, in 5 years from now, this incident with the teacher wont matter to him. You're applying a small bandaid to a very big wound, so to speak.

I never said teachers should get free reign. But this situation definitely did warrant the teacher to defend himself physically. He shouldn't be in any serious trouble. He did the right thing here. Kid crossed that line. He could of handled it differently he prob will next time but that kid kind of forced his hand.

Youre assuming that this country is filled with a bunch of pussies and this teachers aggression toward this child is going to set this child straight haha lol. Idiot. As I stated, if this child does have serious mental issues, which is leading to extreme forms of violent and aggressive behavior, do you really think one incident with the teacher is going to put this kid on "the right path?" Do you think this teachers behavior has drastically altered the childs emotional and behavioral world to the point where he will cease future aggression and violence? No, most likely not. The only purpose the teachers aggression served is possibly protecting himself from being hurt, however, the discipline inflicted on this child will not have lasting effects in altering his violent and/or aggressive nature. Its only purpose was to protect the teacher, not as a means of "disciplining" the child and teaching. So while I may agree with you that the teacher needed to defend himself, I disagree that this teachers discipline will have any lasting effects on the child, as you seem to purport.

You are a pussy. The teacher slapped the kid big deal. A slap leaves a little red mark. If anyone gets in your face you have the right to defend yourself. If someone goes chest to chest with you that is crossing your personal space you have the right to use physical force. It doesn't matter if it's a 13 year old doesn't mean you can't protect yourself. Calling someone a name to their face like that those are fighting words. I bet the kid doesnt try it again lesson learned. I'd smack the shit out of someone's kid for that believe me. I would have no problem with it. I would have no problem with someone smacking my kid if he had the balls to do that.

If the teacher beat that kids ass it would be different he just put him in his place.

If your son talked shit to his football coach and the coach knocked him on his ass you would be one of those pussy parents who would sue wouldn't you!

This whole thing is on video so the parents can see exactly what happens. Teacher just smacked the little phaggot. Who fucking Cares. Expel the kid and suspend teacher for a week to make everyone hsppy. Perfect.

You're an idiot. Did you not read what I was writing? Were you able to even comprehend what I was writing? Do you have the IQ of a slug.

I am not concerned with the teachers behavior, whether it was a slap or kick or push down. I am saying that you are wrong to purport that this teachers behavior is going to have lasting effects on altering the child's behavior. You seem to assume that this was an appropriate way to discipline the child, which will set him on the right path. That, he will never ever engage in violence and aggression again. And I am saying that the teachers behavior will not have any lasting effects to alter this child's aggressive or violent nature. That, if the child does have serious mental illness, leading to aggression and/or violence, this incident will not curb such future behavior haha, yes, because one slap by  a teacher is enough to curb a child with serious mental problems for the rest of the child's life. You are definitely one of the dumbest members on getbig.

Again, I agree that the teachers behavior may have served to defend himself, however, I am arguing the point that in no way served in altering future violence and or aggression, as you are indirectly purporting. We are talking about two separate issues, and you c seem to grasp the two different issues we are discussing. Is it too difficult to carry a conversation that entails more than one issue?

What do you mean? Sure it will teach the kid a lesson. He felt the strength of the teacher. He fucking learned a big lesson you sissy excuse for a man. I want to give you a good slap. What better lesson is there the getting your ass put in place since the begging of man kind.

No problem with the sub-teacher did. However, what kind of guy becomes a substitute teacher of underage kids? They should ban men from this kid of job. What's he do on the side, drive a school bus and work at ChuckECheese?
