Doesn't look so good, even for 80. One thing I always respected and appreciated about Burt: with his own machismo and his own intense taste for hot women, he always was gay friendly, had gay friends and stuck up for gays way before it was fashionable to do so. Led the way in Hollywood on this.

I can remember one time when Burt and I where eating flap jacks on the set Gunsmoke. I made some side comment about making an illegal beer run in a truck from Texarkana to Florida.
