Other than Arnold, are there any well-known bodybuilders who are accomplished outside of the field of bodybuilding? When I say outside of the field of bodybuilding, that includes things like successful gyms and supplement lines.  Primarily, I'm curious about business interests, but also hobbies like music for example. I know Kevin Levrone sings in a band, but as far as I can tell, it has never regularly released recordings or toured, so I would not include him.

Thanks for response, but I don't think Reeves was ever the highest paid actor. Most of his films were low-budget schlock.

They were cheesy but at the time he was supposedly the highest paid actor

I think I read somewhere that he is worth 90 million. Seems quite a bit inflated. Then again, his supplement line has been around for quite some time. Maybe he invested his money wisely. Still, 90 million seems like a lot.

Franco Columbu is a chiropractor, still has a practice on Westwood south of Olympic

(disclaimer: I have never been to a chiropractor, can not see myself ever going to one)

Dan Lurie is the only competition bodybuilder to run a bodybuilding org, run a magazine, run a weightlifting equipment manufacturer, and star in a TV show.

Most of Gaspari's reported fortune comes from his supplement line, it seems. In my opening post, I said I was wondering if there were any who were accomplished away from bodybuilding related activities.

Ferrigno did better than 90% of all other builders. The general public knows his name. He had his own tv series, and an impressive BB career. And in the seventies he had a quality physique. And was never a bloated pregnant looking dwarf.

Checked out his wikipedia page and apparently he was the highest paid actor in Europe, which is slightly different. The European film industry was known for being really low budget back then.

Just trying to see if there are any bodybuilders who maintained a great physique while excelling in other things. I'm probably in the best shape I've ever been in now, but it's so incredibly time consuming that it's like a second job. Most of the guys I know who are in impressive shape are extraordinarily one dimensional. I massively downplay how much effort I'm putting into staying in shape because the more I think about it, the more embarrassing it seems.

I'm going to use this as an excuse for not being in the greatest shape of my life. I've got too many other responsibilities, which often get in the way of my workouts no matter how I try and prioritize what I do to allow time for hitting the gym. Plus, I wouldn't want anyone seeing me as being one dimensional. Being in shape never embarrasses me. Any workout over an hour long is too long to be optimally effective.

I don't keep track that well, but I think you're one of the members who has a few years on them, correct?
I'm from a later generation and it's not just about limiting your time in the gym. I'm talking about the constant facebook and instagram updates about "gains" and posting workout memes.  I don't do that, but I do get kind of obsessive about my macros. I divide up my meals at work so they don't take up too much space in the fridge.  I bust my ass in the gym, but at the end of the day it's still just working out. A lot of guys act like they are going to war.
