i like the rock he earned his popularity but if you read his book he never would've became a wrestler without his father's connections to the business

He is a lying fraud who believes his own bullshit.  Physique built on lies, wrestling career built on lies, social media built on lies.

it was much easier for him to get his foot in the door due to his family connections, but he made himself a star with his charisma

anybody remember his rocky maivia character?  he would've been fired within a year if he didn't create the rock character

Fans hated him because he was forced on them.  I think once he turned heel and ripped on others, he got popular.  Can't quite remember though.

It was all basically luck, nothing else.  If he tried that today, nobody would care, because nobody watches it.

HAHAH yes it would be all soft and moist and smell kind of like the watch band.

Haha I forgot about the smell.

yes that is what i mean about him getting an opportunity due to his connections, that character was awful and his career would've died and been completely forgotten if he didn't make changes

guys like brock lesnar and goldberg were handed main event status in pro wrestling, the rock was handed a spot but he made himself a star

I'm sorry Adonis...but none of those plastic presidents would match the Great Tsar of the old USSR Mr Putin....and his choice in watches is very solid. Nothing but Patek with moon complexion will do for a superior president.

In my opinion his character was shit.  There was no back story, no history, no mystery, no nothing.  The guys in the late late 80s-early 90s were the best.

There was nothing to "The Rock".  What was he supposed to be really?

This is better.

Not sure if you remember these Casios, but they had one that could change channels on the television and they had one that was called a Phone Dialer which you could I assume,  use it to dial numbers.  Guess it was for the rotary phones.  I used to want these so much!!

ha, yes, I remember both of those watched. So badass!!

Is casio still making these types of watches?

Yuh huh. I can still remember my wrist being pale and sodden from sweat, and the indentation of the strap with its little square cut out holes whenever I had to take it off to rub away the itch.

hell yes!! Same here. And as TA said, your wrist would have that smell to it (rubber smell). Epic.  ;D ;D

he was a master on the microphone, wrestling became more about being a male soap opera than anything

the genius?  LOL there's a reason that character lasted about as long as rocky maivia, what was his "history", "mystery" or "back story"?

Wrestling is so bad these days :/ There is no character development, and it overwhelmingly relies on sex to sell. Its just boring these days.

the undertaker is the exception, most fans want realistic characters and those are the ones that main event wrestlemania

there's a reason characters like val venis, papa shango, or the godfather didn't last and were mid carders at best

That's the thing with watch collectors...you're always raising the bar. But he's right...the WG Daytona with Arabic dials is one of the best combos ever made.
