My God!  $16,000!  Call those streets swept.

Not to derail but between the war, funding the prohibition to protect you from yourself, and the stuff that counts getting a budget that's a fart compared to the gigantic turds they keep financing, I'm amazed more people don't file returns that simply say: NO.

saw this yesterday fucking disgusting. First off why is a DEA agent on board a train asking citizens random question.

NEVER EVER TALK TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. This is what will happen. had the guy said I dont wanna talk I invoke my fifth and I dont consent to searches without a warrant he would have never been taken for this ride.

Remember these guys get bonuses and careers out of busting people not being "nice guys"

yepp this can happen to ASSETS of all kind though...bank account cash, houses, cars, yes get big even watches!

if you are suspected of gaining our using any asset for illegal means it can be seized and you must fight a civil case in order to regain ownership.

Im quite certain that report was completely unbiased and covered all of the pertinent facts and details. I knew when I read the title DEA TAKES 16000 CASH FROM BLACK MAN, LEAVES HIM PENILESS that we would be getting an unbiased account. The article covered all of the bases here and there were no stones left unturned in this fine piece of investigative journalism.

They can take away any hope of fighting back, too.  That's super slick on their part.

It gives real reason to allow drug deals to be completed, as well.  Lovely, lovely.

This is absolutely ridiculously, cops do it to. I read of two pro card players either going to or coming from a game and got stopped. The cops took like 30k in cash which is what they used to play with. They had to sue to get it back.  No drugs in the car both had clean records. They explained why they had it. (Which they could carry a fucking million of you want and not explain shit) they still took it. Because it "could" be used for drugs. Could

Not to hijack my own thread but - if you've seen Cocaine Cowboys (incredible movie btw!) you know the US military went in during the invasion of Panama & took all the drug lord's money (George Jung, Griselda Blanco, Pablo Escobar, the Ochoas, Mickey Munday, Jon Roberts, Carlos Ledher, Manuel Noriega, Rafa Salazar, etc., etc..) which is estimated to have totalled in the billions.  Yet you never heard nor ever will what happened to the $$.

With negative interest rates on the way massive inflation looming from money printing out of control, the war on cash is a done deal. Your dollars will be stolen from you even if they're in a metal safe bolted to a concrete floor or stored in a bank. On the other hand, NASDAQ has began to implement Bitcoin technology and Goldman Sachs just invested 50 million into Bitcoin startups. Bitcoin can't be inflated away, isn't affected by negative interest rates and can't be taken from you by dirty government agencies. Its also a superior method of value transfer vs. the archaic SWIFT system used by banks. Don't get fixated on the price of bitcoin (the currency). This technology is here to stay.

I don't think any of you guys have to worry about the cops taking massive amounts of cash that you are traveling with.  The cops might feel sorry for your ass and give you $5 bucks so you can get a big mac.
