Weird. Relax brother.

But anyway, there are many ethnic people with literally no brain who have become fabulously wealthy with the help of steroids.

They may be insecure but they're fucking rich.

Exactly right.
List can go on & on.
Fix your teeth, have plastic surgery, live in a big house,
Drink too much beer, too many recreational drugs,
Etc etc....
As Arnold said even the way you train is an Extension of You
In the gym.

All bollocks we are what we are & do what we do.
Others read or interpret it as they want.

It does reveal insecurities, but like mensa bob said, who isn't insecure a little bit? Our environment constantly bombards our mind that we aren't good enough and we try to live for any expectations, it's hard to completely escape it... other people's expectations that is.

Binary thinking displayed in the thread title = lack of intelligence

Also, I believe that any post which is followed by: discuss, should automatically be deleted. It is the epitome of laziness.

Exactly. OK, so you're insecure because you are poor, weak, stupid, fat...

So that drives you to improve yourself.

What's wrong with that?

Arnold said in his original biography that his older brother got all the attention from his father. Arnold said that he always wanted to be the center of attention. He admitted that he wasn't normal. That he had issues. It was the cause of his breakup with Barbara. She was normal and came from a good balanced family and was a very down to earth balanced woman. Arnold knew he could never be like that.

People who accomplish big things (whether it's good or bad things is a separate issue) are not normal people. Some have no idea how driven some are to succeed. They will do things that no normal person would even consider or conceive.

Is there a connection to Arnold's connection/friendship to Joe Weider in this?

I don't think it's an insecurity.  The majority of juicers wouldn't even be in a gym, if they weren't on.  Making decent gains without drugs isn't that easy, so many deviate to drugs.
Not that many have good genetics for lifting, so roids are a consolation prize for those and some who can't put in the effort.
This doesn't encompass all juicers of course, but the majority for sure.

If I had a dollar for every guy I saw lifting for a bit, looking like nothing, then hitting a bunch of juice.  How many people are dedicated enough to eat 6x a day, train hard, etc?  It's a very small number.

In short, juice is usually a consolation prize for those who looked up to Arnold as a kid and wanted to be muscular...then came to the conclusion they couldn't achieve much on their own.  Luckily, juice is readily available today and helps many feel as if they accomplished something in a gym.  You can't blame people for taking that route.  After all, gaining 40lbs+ of muscle isn't for everyone.

It's never going to end. His obsession with what others do to their own bodies which has zero effect on his life. It will never end.

Just smile and pat him on the head as you would do any other retard. Maybe give him a treat.

I'm sure he would work really hard sweating it out in the iron dungeon for any treat given.

I think in order to understand the need to take steroids, we should look at Alfred Adler's Theory of Inferiority Complex.

According to Alfred Adler, who was the first one to coin the term inferiority complex, every child experiences the feelings of inferiority as the result of being surrounded by stronger and more capable adults.

As the child grows he becomes obsessed by his original feelings of inferiority he experienced earlier and so he strives for power and recognition.

If the child failed to meet certain life challenges during his act of compensation then he will develop an inferiority complex.

So according to Adler every child feels inferior but not every one develops an inferiority complex which only affects those who failed to compensate correctly.

An inferiority complex is a lack of self-worth, a doubt and uncertainty, and feelings of not measuring up to standards. It is often subconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme asocial behavior.[1] The term was coined to indicate a lack of covert self-esteem.[2] For many, it is developed through a combination of genetic personality characteristics and personal experiences.
