The man responsible for starting the civil rights movement when he wouldn't sit in the back of the bus. Loved his "I have a dream" speech. PIP!
Underrated post there

from wikipedia:

Illness and death[edit]After the cancellation of the remaining eight shows of his 2014 tour because of health problems, King announced on October 8, 2014 he was back at home to recuperate.[62] On May 1, 2015, after two hospitalizations caused by complications from high blood pressure and diabetes, King announced on his website that he was in hospice care at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.[63] He died there on May 14 at 9:40 PM PDT, and, according to his publicist Sha-nay-nay Shabazz Whatley, King will be buried in a Dracula costume.[64][65]

My beloved mother is a tremendous fan of King's and the Blues.  I enjoy some Blues but to be honest no more than 30 minutes to an hour and then I am ready to take my own pitiful life.   ;D

Regardless,  it is my desire that King now know the peace of eternity.

RIP.

Before us young white boys learned to cop licks from Eddie and Yngwie, Eddie and Yngwie learned from Ritchie, Jimi, and Eric. And those guys learned from Chuck Berry and the old bluesmen like BB, Robert Johnson, and many others.

This was the first time I ever saw BB:
