I have one clown in my gym who wears a green neon hood, complete with spandex pants, and mouthpiece.  Guy is on some gear...naturally.  Proceeds to pose in the mirror, as if he'll be the next Dorian.
Seriously though...if your genetics don't support being a top guy in the sport...just stop.  It's similar to the guy who dresses up like a pro ball player to play in his local softball game.
Let's leave competing to real athletes...you know, baseball, football, etc.  Everything else is literally left handed masturbation.  You had your chance to go pro in baseball...you didn't make it.  You also had your shot at getting the 3rd place ribbon in 6th grade field day...you blew that too.
Let it go. ;)

Croatch on SF.
It's funny, I actually read that copy/paste you had in another thread.  I read it briefly and thought...this guy is spot on...haah

Nah, I never notice attention whores as I never look at anyone else. Ever. 18 years of training in gyms around the world taught me that it's a playing ground for the crazy, insecure, needy and attention whores. I train in tracksuit bottoms in the winters and shorts in the winter. Always in a loose baggy tshirt and with small headphones on. A fire can break out and I wouldn't notice people running out. I'd have to catch a whiff of the smoke first. I guess I'm not there to notice others or to be noticed, I train and gtfo. I've been in my current gym for 18 months and have no idea where the men's changing room is. And I'm not joking about this, I literally don't know. I don't use them anywhere I train. If the gym is a platform for attention whoring, the changing room takes it one step further. Add creepy bug-eyes homos, insecure teenagers looking for veins in the mirror on their skeletal bodies, naked old men cruising for cock and the obese tattooed hoodie-wearing 'muscle men' happy to parade for them it's a regular fucking circus of freaks I want nothing to do with. And that's just your supposedly 'normal' people.

QFT.

I train with an old tank top (probably 10 years old) Wish I could workout 10 am and barefooted like Arnlod in the 70's "no beats by Dre" and no social media BS. just plain old school basic lifting .

The whole "Hooties bad ass,iPhone etc crap" is a joke not needed in the weight room.

WooOSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I actually wear a sweatshirt and/or hoodie when I train, but I don't wear the hood. It stays down. I love the feeling of sweating A LOT!! I mean, I don't do cardio, so working out is like my cardio ha lol. And considering my gym is like a fitness spa, they blast the air condition.

I wear a hoodie when training in the basement during the winter.

Nobody has ever given me shit about it, but once the cat looked at me slightly crooked when he walked by.

But that fucker knew better than to try and say somethin'.
This, if I was training in a gym where the temperature was below 40F.

I wear them, hoods up and sometimes with the arms cut off.  8)

Hood definitely helps me focus. It's almost like wearing blinders and being in your own little world, which helps if your workouts are intense.

On a more superficial note,  I like the way i look in sweaters and hoodies, so it's motivational to see what I look like in clothes that aren't designed to show off my physique.

Somebody covering all their muscles is seeking attention?

I'll wear one if I'm cold. Generally doesn't last beyond my first exercise.

I would have thought jeans in a gym would cause more offense, but nobody seems to have mentioned them.

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I wear a hoodie to work up a sweat/keep warm and it can act as a motivation for a heavy set. But this is only in the winter, it would have to be a cold summer day to do this, to many do it as an homage to Kai (they complete the look with a red muscle meds hoodie).

I'm tired of all the filming of nothing I've been seeing. I'm going to film a couple videos of others filming their workouts and post them soon.

I never understood why looking like the Unabomber while working out was bad ass?
Unless you're training with polar bears in the artic, a hoodie sweatshirt is hot as balls to wear.

x2

The hoodie in the gym is the calling card of a complete tosser.

I would also add stupidly big headphones. In ear buds are clearly the best option for training, yet generation fail has these stupid hebrew creations on their head, thinking they are "badass". I would love to drop a 50Kg dumbell on their head from a significant height.

Don't crush my skull with a DB, but I now wear some noise canceling head phones plugged into my cell phone on I-heart radio for music.

I wear sneakers, gym shorts w/pocket for the cell phone and reg xxL t shirt. That's it.

I need to get a hoodie for the gym that has a phrase describing what is being said here to let the hoodie wearing people in the gym know how annoying they are.

If anyone wears jeans in the gym while I`m there,I swiftly headbutt them viscuously about the bridge of the nose area/region/vicinity repeatedly while yelling at the top of my lungs.......... WHO SENT YOU...........WHO SENT YOU!!

Early 30s, but everyone says I look like a college student.  :-* Not that it makes a difference.

I started a thread not too long ago noting how gymwear is looking a lot like it did in the 80s and 90s now, but didn't actually expect anyone wearing that stuff to care what I thought of it. I could not care less if someone is bothered by my working out in a hoodie, but I'm fine with them having their own opinion.

I have functional reasons for wearing a hoodie, but aesthetically, I think someone who looks muscular in a hoodie is just damn impressive. I actually follow this bodybuilder on instagram almost exclusively for his hoodie and sweater pics. I think there might be some photoshop going on here, but he looks pretty much exactly like I want to look in a hoodie.

All the best with your hooded adventures!

But the first few pics are not hoodies really. I have a few shirts like that, never wear them. I feel rediculous is such tight clothing and when you get to a certain size, dressing like that, esssh, dunno, not for me. Just screams too much for attention, not my style.

Sad reality is my lifting belt is a tad bit too big for me. On PR's I have to wear a hoodie so it cinches proper. Other than that, I wish I could workout shirtless. The gym is always boiling hot, even in the winter.

A shirt with a hood is not a hoodie?
The second one is a sweater. In my previous post, I said "hoodie and sweater pics".

And if it's not your style, it's not your style. Takes all types.  Different clothes for different folks.

Oh no, really? Would it be less gay or more gay if I just followed him for his thong pics?

I need to know quick so I can go back and edit my post.
