One thing that I like about Arnold--- Unlike most of getbig, he doesn't root for a white guy; just because he is white

Arnold wants the best guy to win. Whether it's Dexter or Cedric ect...

And he speaks his mind. And I'm 100% sure that he would ban Branch Warren from competing in future ASC shows (if he had that power). Which he probably does.

I seriously think Branch Warren needs to be banned.
True. And there are few guys that if they got their ish together would put Phil to shame.

And again, how Branch even won the Arnold, not once, but twice is a mystery beyond any explanation.

I would guess that the judges are all schmoes and the winner is decided according to their prurient mindset based solely (or soullessly) on their taste in wang/balloon knot/striated buttocks and the like,  regardless of whether or not the person gives in to their deviancy.  The judges suck both literally and figuratively.

Arnold needs to fire 'em and hire Zane, Paris and others with class or abandon the wasteland of bodybuilding altogether and speak out publicly  against what it has become .   If he doesn't have the testicular fortitude to do that, then to hades with the Oak.

Oh and to hell with Phil.  He's a drug addled piglet of a midget.

Here is the thing, Branch Warren has won the Arnold Classic as well, and not just once. And he is known for his distention.

He might be distended, but at least he's squatty.

He does make good points. Arnold is mostly only concerned with his bottom line, nothing else.

Not one of these motherfuckers competing today could even pull off a vacuum pose. Not one. A lot of it isn't their fault, they're just following current protocol. Which sucks.

Who the fuck wants to hit vacuum shots anyway, that looks never appealed to me... I actualy think it looks shit in double bicep poses

I see this 'pose' rather as a circus trick.

True, but it was also his training style that fucked things up. He tore almost any muscle/joint in his body..

Funny how Phil assumes he would win the Arnold and WILL win the Olympia again and again, when he says the prize money of the O dobles the Arnold. Fixed mr.O of peace.

Arnold SHOULD only be concerned with the bottom line. He is a businessman. Phil will never be 1/1000th as successful as Arn

He is the champ, so he has to believe that he will win, he has to believe that he is BETTER than everybody else! Ronnie did as well, as well as Dorian, Lee Haney

How much money do you actually think Arnold makes off of bodybuilding these days?  :-\ :-\ I assure you his movies make more for him than bodybuilding does these days.

Personally, I think Arnold was "speaking from the heart." Nothing he said was outlandish or untrue. We have all been saying the same thing for years. Its not like he is saying anything groundbreaking that has never been said, which will translate into millions of dollars for him. This problem (distended guts) has been around for quite some time and discussed extensively. Hes not saying anything that is sacred or unknown.

Also another thing. Arnold doesn't want his name attached to a substandard product, especially when the product is his first love, bodybuilding. You could see his disgust when he interviewed Branch Warren when Branch won. It's pathetic. People used to laugh about the muscles and being "muscle bound", but now they have guts with the muscles. That makes no sense whatsoever.
It seems like Arnold should probably invite the MuscleMania guys to compete even though they are not IFBB pros.

Phil is missing the point. Arnold is NOT talking about just his show he was addressing bodybuilding as a whole. He said nothing about judging his show differently than the rest of the IFBB. That's totally ridiculous, you can't has  different judging standards for each show and Arnold obviously knows this.

You also can't have guys train for a show and 2 weeks out tell them they can't compete because they don't look good in photos.  ::) Also how would one know what a gut looks like in photos that would most likely be photo shopped anyway. Too many issues to even consider that.

Also, Dexter didn't win because his waist was small he won because he was the best conditioned guy up there among other things.  If Arnold didn't invite all the guys with guts he's only had physique guys at his show.

Agreed.

I hardly think Arnold was saying to himself, "Oh, let me say how much I hate distended guts, so I can make millions of dollars."  ::) ::) I think hes worth close to 500 million or something. Arnold loves bodybuilding, and I can almost guarantee that he is disgusted as many of us are with the "sport" of bodybuilding. though, I really dont care, either way. Its fun watching a "train wreck."

And as I said above, its not like Arnold is saying anything new. Hell, people on GB and other forums have been talking about his problem for a LONG time!

If you look at Arnold's show---especially during the 90s, the quality of the physiques in terms of muscle, size, and shape, was much better than at the Olympia. It almost was that the Arnold was judged differently than the other IFBB shows. And there was a time when it almost eclipsed the Mr. O, which is why they had this thing about the O should be the highest paying show, and that no other show can pay more, because it was the epitome of shows. Which is why Arnold started giving away Hummers and a Rolex to get around that. He said that  that the top guys would get 1 million dollars for winning a show. But, he cannot give that away at his show. Also, it was really the O winners that helped with the gut thing, as well as Momo.

The guys from the 90's were a whole different ball game when it came to gut distention. You had a ton a talent that came to the Arnold save for a couple that always opted to enter just the Olympia. There is no where near the genetic freaks today compared to the 90's when just mostly roids GH was mainly used. If these guys today had to rely just on anabolics they wouldn't have even turned pro.
