Around 3500 mostly alcoholic scientist live there  :P

2-3 good size nukes could melt all that ice & reduce world population  :D

Supposedly oceans would rise for 6m if Antarctica's ice melt.

Countries are not allowe3d to claim it as territory or occupy it in any way except for scientific purposes..its a sort of neutral no mans land....If countries were alloqwed to go there they would quickly militarize it in some way....just like whats happening in the Arctic right now
