I buy my cars straight out and I drive an S Class Mercedes and have owned many classic Cadillacs, Plymouths, Lotus and other cars. All were bought straight out and I sold all for a profit.

Mercedes do look nicer than Beemers but they are much less fun to drive.
As for Caddys & Plymouths - great if you want to feel like you are steering a fish.
I'm no fan of the 7 - it's just too big a car, it's an exec car, great if you are sitting in the back but not for driving.
3's are better for driving - but 5's are overall better in terms of fun & still being decent size.
