a little fun ,,she got new tires today, and i always detail myself unless too tired then car washed 'brushless'of course, she's like me a little older 2004,some mileage 93,000 almost perfect other than some chips in bumper which i try to touch up :P,,,,otherwise well kept,,in and out..

Your 2004 BMW looks pristine. It is obvious you take really good care of it. Silver is my favorite color for a car.

I once had a silver Peugeot. I got it really cheap but the maintenance was a killer. I sold it when the radiator needed replacement and I was quoted $1,000 to do it. That was in 1992. Of course they are no longer imported so parts must be totally out of sight pricewise.

My 2004 Mazda 6 sport wagon has a few more miles on it then your BMW. It is currently at 113,000 miles. At the moment, it is running like crap. I think it is the fuel filter. The car goes in for an oil change on Tuesday when the mechanic will check and replace the fuel filter if it turns out this is the problem. I do all the maintenance right on schedule. It isn't due for a tune up until 150,000 miles.

This Mazda has been a really good and serviceable car. The upholstery was crummy though. The fabric started to fray a couple of years ago. I had the interior reupholstered in gray leather. The back of the wagon is where the dogs ride. I vacuum the carpet there about one a week. It probably needs it more often, but the car is just transportation to me. My parents always had high end cars that were never more than 2 years old. That is a really expensive way to go. There are other places I'd rather spend my coin.

You make me feel very fortunate to be married to the wonderful woman I am. Each day when I come home from the gym, my wife says, "How was your workout, did you have a good one?" We have a lot in common and there are other areas where we are complete opposites. Sometime, I'll watch back to back cooking shows with her and sometimes she'll watch some really odd ball movie I pick out on Netflix with me. Neither of us complains.

Like you, I am very interested in looking and feeling fit. I actually am just narcissistic enough still, that I enjoy getting noticed. My wife has never put any effort into being fit. It has just never been her thing and I respect that. While fancy and expensive cars interest me, they are on my list of thing to have when I win the lottery. I am more of a house person. It is important to me that our house look good....not so much for other folks, but for me.

Your a good man. Women love having their feet rubbed. I am lacking in this department. About the best I do is rub some lotion into my wife's feet to soften them for her. We do give each other exchange back rubs though....does this count?

Currently, I am fascinated with the idea of having a Fiat. I wish they were just a little more powerful. Living on a hill, this is an issue. The Mazda is a 6 with a 3.5 engine. When you hit it, it flies. Being as how it is a gray-green station wagon, I think it surprises folks when I give it some gas. Normally though, I drive like and old man....wait....I am an old man.  ;D

Today I worked my deltoids and abdominals

weight 209

ISO front press, 5X15-6 @ 90-180 lbs.
Nautilus seated side laterals, 5X15-10 @ 85-125
Body Masters, rear delts, 4X15-10 @ 60-90
Standing DB side laterals, 3X15-12 @ 10-15
Hammer shrugs, 4X15-10 @ 90-230
Cable upright rows, 3X15-12 @ 77-104

Nautilus crunches, 2X25 @ 80-90

I think my delts are looking bigger and more defined. I am really excited about this. I was actually flexing them between sets like a real "gym rat" lol.

No workout today. Although I decided to take a break from the gym this weekend, I hadn't expected to catch my wife's cold. I started having symptoms right after dinner. Now my throat is raspy and my nasal passages are burning. I have been flooding my body with green tea and lemon, plus taking Cold EEZE every couple of hours. Now I am going to go to bed and hope it is gone when I get up in the morning.

-A little better this morning, thanks Donny. I've been popping Cold EEZE every two hours all night long. Stuff tastes horrible, but if it stifles the cold, a little metal taste is tolerable.

I think my muscles are enjoying the short holiday. I plan to be in top form on Monday.

Our daughter and family are here for a short visit. They came up for my son-in-law's grandmother's funeral last Friday. My son-in-law decided to extend his leave for a few more days so the could visit and also so they could scope out some properties for a place to buy. They plan on moving back to Oregon in a matter of months. Right now there are 4 dogs and 5 people running around the house. It took a few days, but all the dogs are getting along now. If one comes to me for attention, they all show up. It is pretty crazy, but kind of fun too.

This must have been crazy scary for you and your baby daughter. Glad all the damage was to the machine and not to you and your daughter. Air bags and small children are not a good combination.

My few accidents have all been fender benders, thank goodness. All the damage to my vehicle is from age and the road. Someday, I will have all the little paint nicks repaired. My most major accident was when I busted out the back window recently while taking my defunct lawnmower into the shop and it crashed through the back window. Cost me $100 co-pay for my comprehensive deductible.

Cold EEZE is a fake! My cold has already moved down to my chest and I am into the full-on bronchitis. Looks like I will be going to the doctor for a prescription antibiotics. I have had bronchial pneumonia so many times I've lost count. This started in infancy and has haunted me all my life. Tonight, I self medicated with scotch. While it has numbed the cough reflex, it has not killed the virus. Not to be morbid, but I have a strong feeling this is what I will eventually die from....bot not this time.

What is most inconvenient is that I have probably the busiest week of the year coming up next week. I am signed up to attend a three day conference at the end of the week. My hotel room is paid for and I have almost everything I need to do ready to go. Unless a miracle happens and I am suddenly over this shit by Wednesday, I will cancel my room and not attend the conference. Never-the-less, I have some commitments I must get done regardless of whether I grace them with my presence or not.
