Having lived there most of my life (I was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, as were my parents, and grandparents..... great grandparents missionaries in 1890) I think I truly believe that Africa should have been the richest continent on earth. Sadly it will always be the poorest through gross mismanagement and rampant corruption.

Mugabe destroyed a thriving economy and ruined the lives of black and white people alike.  Despite being deft of any solutions and going senile at 91 he clings to power. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so look at his confusion as his advisor trying to pep talk him ....while his Army General plots on how to stamp out the unrest of the people:
