it was a last minute thing when he got hired (other guy dropped out), so he had zero time to train. He looked a little better in the cage fight scene.

Other guy was Russell Crowe from memory, can't imagine Crowe having the dedication to keep the body for so many movies

I believe it was Dougray Scott actually (villain from Mission Impossible 2 with manlet Tom Cruise).  

He looks pretty similar to Huge JackedMan.

Your right, Crowe was in line, then finally to Scott who pulled out.I bet Scott is sick with how many millions it cost him pulling out

I see a mix of Russle Crowe and Daniel Craig. I also dont think we would have gotten the bodybuilding schmoe show with him that we get with Hugh.

TBH, Jackman still looked pretty good in the first movie if we're comparing him to the average man on the street.

It's kind of funny though watching these actors who at one time you thought were "huge", looking a lot less impressive when you look back now.

True, at the minimum he was taking care of himself at the time was pretty decent. But yeah, I remember when X2 came out thinking whoa, he really killed it in the gym, what a beast



As you said, still really good compared to the average guy and an improvement from the first movie. Just not as impressive in retrospect, especially compared to the conditioning he does these days.

No steroids here. He just got a personal trainer and added whey isolate. Just a bunch of haters here that don't have the balls to train hard.  ;D

Horrible casting decision regardless. Wolverine was listed at 5'3" tall in Marvel comics. Jackman is at least 6'2" if not taller....just another example of Hollywood fucking things up.

Good decision on Hollywoods part. Great actor and draws more then just the comic geeks which equals more money. Deviating is not always bad. He fits the role well, IMO.

Wolverine was going to be the leading man in these movies from day one. No way that was going to be someone 5'3 in the story, much less real life.
