In what way is he saying what Getbig says?He says the Arnold is more pleasing to the eye and that most people would rather look like him, but he also says Arnold wouldn't place by today's standards and that Phil is one of his favorite bodybuilders... because of his swag, shoes and cars. He also agrees with Phil that bodybuilding is bigger than it's ever been. It's like the opposite of Getbig.
Heath was more diplomatic in the video interview, but he basically got the same point across as the facebook post. It's not like he did a 180.
He talks about the Guts---Getbig has mentioned Kai's gut in the past. He also gives credit to the 90s body builders and Ronnie Coleman
And about Arnold, Getbig posters have said the exact same thing.
And yes, bodybuilding/fitness is as big as it has ever been, due to the Internet, social media and the narcissistic nature of Gen X and Y, and how they have gravitated towards such a narcissistic lifestyle.
But, quality is not the same as the 90s.
I agreed with some of what he said and disagree with others. The stuff I disagree with is because he doesn't have the history of bodybuilding to understand for example why Arnold's legs were smaller then, why Haney retired, etc. Phil is a bitch for talking shit on the internet of all things about Arnold and not in the interview. As I've said, I can't wait till he loses. It will be better than when Ronnie won his first one. This guy is a grade A prick that needs his ego deflated. I don't see it happening anymore but nothing would be better than if it was Kai that did it. Phil wouldn't recover and the "Haters" would have a field day. Of all the Mr. Olympias, I don't think there's been one as much as a twoface asshole as Phil. We heard the rumbligs about this before he was Mr. O and now we see it first hand.
Parker how do you feel about Phil these days? Not his physique his new asshole persona?
I think Phil falls right in line with today's baller, "I am the bizness" persona and lifestyle. People like that. There are many people who don't like that humble attitude, they want that Jay Z mentality. The loud and proud attracts attention...in the short run. In the long run, a person can get lost in the hype. And that maybe Phil. But, Ronnie was cocky in his own right, correct? Saying Jay must be smoking crack, and or someone else would have to be born with different genetics.
Ronnie believed he was the best. Phil, just has always been cocky.
I do think he focuses too much energy on his "haters", it gives an image that he cares more about what they say, and if he is the best, then he cannot allow others to get in his head.
He also maybe changing for the worse.
