Shit is so fucking corrupt. the orange tart is clearly manipulating the market. Give it about a week and he will lift the tariffs. He will make money down and up.

For the most part markets have always been manipulated. They hit levels to coincide with good/bad news. A good example is in 2023 and 2024, markets dumped on news of government shutdowns. This time the market continued up despite shutdowns, so they wheeled out a tariff dump. Important to remember that corrections are needed and healthy in the long term

Orange man and his handlers don't seem to care as much as others about hiding their tracks, but consider this golden times as orange man is hell bent on pumping the markets over the course of his term. I'm saying this as someone who got massively screwed out of a position that could have retired my entire family by Trumps shenanigans earlier this year, but these are good times and we might not see them again for a while. Make the most of them.

I have been hoping for a drop, as I love buying on these dips. I am annoyed as I have a long standing 106K buy on Coinbase, which didn't hit (despite the price apparently dropping to 104 on some exchanges...).

Coinbase didn't drop below 107k. Binance 102k.

Something went wrong at binance yesterday (or maybe a market maker) Some alts flash crashed 70% to 98%, pretty much all leverage got wiped out. Even x2 leverage positions got wiped out. Shorts couldn't even profit as their positions got closed by the CEXs. Either this was the biggest fuck up in crypto ever or the biggest fraud ever. 10 maybe 20 times more money was lost here compared to FTX or the covid crash. Worth noting it was only degenerate money that was wiped out ($20 to $40 billion!) Spot holders are safu

This is either the end of the cycle or it was the flush to clear the path for the final leg up. An orange man tariff deal rally probably signals the latter

Bitcoin going up a bit here sunday. Might also be an indication that we won't see a larger stock market crash next week.

China clarifies new rare earth export controls are not a ban — applications that “meet regulations” will be approved.

Beijing says it’s willing to strengthen dialogue to “maintain stability in global industrial and supply chains.”

Interesting - thanks. Yes, I can see how that happens, when there is an entire ecosystem around an exchange and electronic liquidations etc. If people are taking more leverage on that exchange, maybe that causes wider volatility.

Its a shame my standing 106K buy order didn't hit, but no biggie. Monday will be interesting to see how stocks and the BTC ETF trades.

For sure, I am just saying, imagine a person who recently invested in something only to get rug pulled and panic sell. I am all about responsibility but the level of manipulation that is occurring is next level.

The trump coin is absurd, the guy uses his power as president to sway folks to buy, lies to their faces about it and then rug pulls them all while doubling his net worth in less than a year via this method.

Yes, quite disgraceful. But on the other hand, if a fool is parted with his money, also shame on the fool...

To each their own. If you don't wanna get robbed, don't "invest" your hard earned money into some ridicolous bullcrap with zero intrinsic value and no utility except for making others with enough leverage to manipulate the prize richer. :)

The irony being that if you are keeping you "hard earned money" in USD (or any other fiat currency with zero intrinsic value", you are of course the fool being robbed, even though you may not actually realize it. That's what's happening...

You probably already bought the "dip" at 120k and 115k (not that you would ever admit it). But feel free to buy the next "dip" at 110k ;D

I buy regularly - pretty much every week. Just little nibbles, using income coming in from other investments (stock and property). Have not looked, but I suspect yes, I made minute little nibbles at 115 and 120. I did have a larger standing buy order at 106K on Coinbase, but it didn't hit. (Which annoyed as the priced dipped to 104K on some other exchanges apparently).

When USD has falled to 1m per BTC (and IT WILL happen), the question will not so much be whether you bought at 110 or 115, or 120, but rather how much foresight you had acquire all the Sata you could back at that time...

I would urge you to get as much as you can into BTC, for as long as you can. If you want to dabble in ventures or protocols which are tokenized, consider ETH, BNB, FIL, LINK, UniSwap. But to be clear 90%+ put into BTC.

I agree. I don’t personally know anyone who bought the Trump coin, and while part of me thinks I should feel bad for those who lost money, I don’t. Speculative assets like meme tokens are inherently risky, no matter who’s behind them.

Grasping at straws.  A mind is a terrible thing to taste.
New BNB ATH: $ 1,358.59 (Today)

BNB has now outperformed BTC since the 2021 ATH. BTC needs to go to around $132,000 to match BNB's move.

There will always be certain things that outperform BTC over certain periods of time. That does not make them a good investment going forwards, nor does it mean that the things that has outperformed is priced at good value.

Back of envelope BNB trades at an eye-watering PE of around 200. I think a PE of 50 at best could be justified. So, again this is how I do very suck rough and ready calculations on investing - its not a screaming buy to me, and at fair value around the $300 mark.

$2.7 Billion in tokenized gold on Ethereum.

The supply of tokenized gold on Ethereum has increased by over 100% since the beginning of the year.

I don't follow ETH

I don't trade. the targets I have been posting are the best getting around And I post them well in advance. The current target can only be revised up, not down.

I had 176k as year end target but I thrn have 241k too end of 2026. The rotation is going to be a doozy IMO.

Alipay becomes an Ethereum L2

On Oct. 14, the Chinese fintech giant behind Alipay’s 1.4 billion-user payment network launched Jovay, a new Layer-2 (L2) blockchain built atop Ethereum to move real-world assets (RWAs) on-chain at institutional scale.

The implications are vast. Alipay has 1.4 billion monthly active users and handles trillions in payment volume annually. If even a fraction of that activity migrates to Ethereum rails through Jovay, the network could become one of global finance’s most consequential infrastructure bridges.

According to Jovay’s technical paper, the network achieved 15,700 – 22,000 transactions per second (TPS) during testnet trials and targets 100,000 TPS through node clustering and horizontal expansion.

Jovay’s debut also reflects Ethereum’s slow conquest of institutional trust. What once looked like a volatile experiment has become a neutral settlement layer that banks and fintech giants can rely on without ceding control.

Interesting! We'll see how this translates to real-world TPS demand and filling up the blob space so more ETH can be burned.

BTC (and gold) have no PE - that's the whole point. BTC serves as the ultimate ledger for base-layer of money - of economic energy - both are protocols backed by energy and physics. Gold being the analogue version of BTC.

Eth and BNB (and many other platforms) have intrinsic value - and that in turn, in the long term, will govern their ultimate valuation. (Which as of now, back of envelope, is around $500 for Eth, and $300 for BNB - of course with a wide degree of variance depending on the variables and assumptions you put into the calculation).

The smart money disagrees with you.

In the short term the "smart money" is a voting machine. (Remember "smart money" was also behind every other "alt" which once pumped and then collapsed, including the Trump coin.

In the long term, it is the fundamentals of any asset which determines its value, and the "even smarter money" is actually the market, which as the ultimate weighing (or valuation) machine, will determine the ultimate price.
