Standard Chartered says Ethereum’s outlook has improved and it is likely to outperform bitcoin.

While weak bitcoin performance has weighed on the broader crypto market, rising institutional demand for ethereum and its dominance in stablecoins, real-world assets, and DeFi support a stronger outlook.

Increased network throughput and potential U.S. regulatory clarity could provide further upside. The bank forecasts ethereum at $7,500 this year, $30,000 by 2029 and $40,000 by 2030.

If you are extremely late into btc, should we not try to get more BTC by selling top and then buy double after crash?

Let me put it this way - anyone who adopts BTC over the next 10 years, will not be "extremely late". Rather they will be extremely early. (This will only be apparent in hindsight). Do not try to time the market, buy/sell, hope for a dip before buying etc. Buy in now, HODL, and keep buying, regardless of any short term volatility (either to the upside or downside) Simple.

It's crazy how all we had to do was buy bitcoins years ago and our lives would have been great. I only have 1 bitcoins. It's hard to think about anything else.

Well, if you look at the very origins of this thread, that is exactly what I predicted, and it is exactly what happened. Many laughed and mocked me at the time. Now they laugh and mock no longer...

"THEY WILL ALL USE SORTS OF VARIOUS SCHEMES AND TOOLS AND THREATS AND TACTICS TO TRY TO GET YOU TO PART WITH YOUR BTC. AND THAT ALSO OF COURSE INCLUDES TRYING TO GET YOU TO EXCHANGE YOUR SATS FOR SHITCOINS, "ALTS", CBDCs, AND STABLECOINS BACKED BY FIAT CURRENCIES."

BitMine stakes over $5 billion Ethereum

Ethereum digital asset treasury (DAT) BitMine has just staked another huge batch of Ether, bringing its total amount staked to over 1.5 million ETH.

Fundstrat’s Tom Lee, who chairs the firm, remains bullish on Ether and crypto in 2026 following a tumultuous end to 2025.

The price of Ether has just seen its largest daily gain in 2026, rising 7% over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Ethereum staking validator entry queue has skyrocketed to 2.3 million ETH, its highest level since August 2023.

What in the world is going on with Monero XMR. Basically it’s the blockchain of choice for illegal activities? Zero tracking?

Very well done. Hard to know what price hits when, you picked it.

What do you think for 2026 in general?

Is Monero up 75% on the month 65% on the week because of this? ???

Someone got scammed for their seed phrase and lost nearly $300m in BTC and LTC. A good chunk of that was converted into Monero.

Who knows? It could crash. There's pessimism around the clarity act that's heavily slanted in favor of the banks. Coinbase said it can't support it. It seems like Trump's SEC will be just as useless as Biden's. That's how the US political system works. They make it seem like they are on opposite sides. But on many issues it's a Uniparty. Trump campaigned for no more wars and what did we get?!  ;D

Crypto needs to outgrow the US though. It's supposed to be global. We need to see China and Russia embrace it more.

Ive posted so much bearish stuff, how can I possibly be perceived as bullish lol?  Ok I give the next ATH targets but I don't say when so don't let that mix you up. I had said 80k-97k was solid. Maybe you get 99k or even 113k but the window is closing.

Everyone on here is bullish saying Q4 ATH, the same as the mass public.

I say nuke them all.  I did want a 2026 top with Gold but that was before the masses said the same thing.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I understood you expected 150k in the near term

156k level then 164k but should go straight to 176k I think. Secretly I hope for 241k by Sep 2026 as a set target, not timing.

BUT

I believe 2026 is rocky so I'm expecting a sell off and a slow grind out. If that happens my lows will be way higher than the plebs but let's see.

I have stuff planned way in advance so it's just about forward targets rather than will this week dip or not.

BlackRock Says Ethereum Is Wall Street’s Tokenization Backbone

Tokenization means turning real-world assets such as U.S. Treasuries or investment funds into digital tokens that live on a blockchain, and BlackRock’s Ethereum tokenization has become a central theme in this shift.

In its report, BlackRock said Ethereum supports about 65% of all tokenized assets. That dominance helps explain why firms, and not only BlackRock, racing into tokenized stocks and funds keep choosing Ethereum instead of starting from scratch on new chains.

BlackRock’s own tokenized Treasury fund, called BUIDL, shows how this works in practice. The fund now holds nearly $2 billion in assets under management as of January 2026, including tokenized U.S. Treasuries.

More tokenized assets mean more activity on Ethereum. Activity matters because users pay fees in ETH, similar to paying tolls to use a busy road. If Wall Street keeps issuing funds and assets on Ethereum, demand for block space rises.

The idea is simple: More assets. More transactions. More economic weight flows through the network.

That narrative also explains why institutions like Goldman Sachs and BNY Mellon are entering tokenized money markets. As tokenization scales, potentially reaching $80 billion by year-end per Bernstein estimates, Ethereum’s role as the settlement layer could drive further value accrual, benefiting holders through increased fees and network utility.
