Falcony U should join 'Flat Earth Society'  

I used to read their forum out of curiosity and after a couple of weeks I concluded than 90% of Flat earth believers are trolling and the other 10% actually believe it and are pretty much crazy.

This is an interesting and thought provoking topic .... (that some people still believe the earth to be flat and that a formula exists that actually computes the curvature of the planet).

Does anyone know how to find the formula that is used t o compute this measurement?

Or is there anyone smart enough on the Board   to figure out the formula himself?

I would assume that that same formula must be used by NASA prior to any planned landing on any extraterrestrial  body.

And YES, gravity does have any effect  on light, but the distance involved in that formula would be astronomical.

It's a more or less straight-forward application of the Pythagorean theorem.

Well, considering how gravity distorts space-time, then anything - including photons - would be affected.
