As we know, Arnold does not always get to hand out his prizes to the best deserved.
Sometimes it's someone with the wrong attitude, like when genetically blessed Dexter Jackson won and pulled some crap about that he's too lazy to practice posing when Arnold asked him about the effort behind the body (Arnold strategically tries to show the youth that it's hard work that counts and that posing matters, elements of true bodybuilding). Jackson not only waved it off, he followed up with his snake oil supplements being some sort of success factor. Clown didn't understand anything. And it surely left a bitter taste in not only the aspiring bodybuilder at home but the competition that worked hard just to stand in line with Jackson.
Then, sometimes, he has to look down on the winner, not only literally, when a gnome by the name of Brunch "Arms shot" Warren stands there and mumbles about god or something. Looks like Arnold just want to get off the stage out of the suit and end the night with a whisky and cigarr somewhere quiet.
Presenting Ramy the award, you could see he was anticipating and perhaps worried that anything would go out of plan. He held onto the award tightly in case the posing oil would make it slip out of Mamdouh's hands. Then he asked the questions, and Ramy—no longer interpreted by Dennis James—actually made himself understood in English, which came as a surprise to many who just had seen him one year earlier.
Then an audio guy in the back got a sharp reprimand from the king of kings when he played too loud over Ramy's answers. Arnold asked the yearly question once more. Ramy mentioned he trains one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon, but then he went on to say that he was in the gym mentally—all the time.
Arnold shone up. Ramy got it.
