Train in the early AM before work............once you get used to it,it`s the shit.
for the past six months i've been working out twice a day: 5 am and roughly 5 pm. before that it was entirely 5 am.
I always had a bad conscience about waking up late, and wanted to be like all the people who took pride in being early to rise. Well, I've come to think i shouldn't try to compete with them, as a matter of physiology...
today i skipped the morning workout, and my moved my evening workout back to 7 pm. this was a test, to see how it felt to life right my energy starts to peak again. it certainly felt good, but not dramatically. and i felt less drainedin the morning, but still depressed as usual throughout the day. Though I seemed to have more energy, my mood and 'productivity' were probably the same or worse.
overall, i think i'd like to keep the 5 am workout in and push my evening workout back to 7. the problem is, with my commute, cooking, and evening energy, i rarely get to bed before 11. working out 2 hours later than usual certainly isn't going to get me MORE sleep...
i think switching to 11-7 might be great -- it could allow me to work out around 10 and 8, both of which seem to be "peak" hours for me.
U do shift work and consider it "stressful"
I say "shift" but it's a salary job. Wouldn't be stressful for a lot of people, but it doesn't suit my personality.
