Im from there and basicly the situation is simple. The cop just cant shoot at those thugs, if he does hes going straight to prison, the thieves know that very well thats the reason they just arent scared at all, they know its just bluff from the cop. Then them taking the gun and firing at the police man is fucking crazy i have to say.

In France the law protects the criminal 100%. If you dare using self defence or try to stop something happening using force you WILL get prosecuted. Recently a bar owner shot at some robber with a hunting rifle, the robber died and the guy got sentenced to several years in prison...

Theres a lot of criminality, mugging and assaults and lets be real 99% of the criminals are arabs/blacks. The sentences they get are just a complete joke. Ive travelled a lot and every single place i went felt safe than Paris and its suburbs.

No need to explain. France has always been a filthy disgusting over-taxed liberal shithole. It truly makes me happy in the thought that I'll never see it again in my entire life.

The French cop made a simple error, he was reaching for his white pocket flag but pulled the gun out by mistake, which threw him into a situation he couldn't operate in as a frenchman.

In the U.S., most PD are encouraged to carry while off-duty.

yes, because you are allowed to carry a weapon even if you're not a cop. In countries where it's forbidden, only cops/soldiers on duty are allowed to do so. At least I think so?

I almost wrote this but decided not too, out of respect to the cop, who may have been a good guy.

But you have expressed my thoughts on the libtards in France. The tragedy is that many of these victims are not libtards.
