Looking at hardcore bodybuilding photos today reminds me of working out "hardcore" when I was younger, but now I know it's "all drugs" and hardcore working out is not the "secret" to rapid, explosive gains and shirt-busting biceps.

True.

Maybe 10 years ago these pictures would have 'inspired' me, but once you know that you will never look like that (unless you make the pursuit of a plastic trophy the aim of your life, over health, family, friends etc) you kind of just go "Oh, meh".

That scene always stayed in my head. Arnold's voice... But anyone else notice the blood stain on Corney's behind? Probably from his "low dose cycle..." Loved his shape and posing in pumping iron. Just so graceful, very nice look, not overdieted like today's guys either.
