He was revered all over and was elected to many offices in many different States. He was also the Secretary of State for the Confederate States.

There is no one on this board with more southern heritage than me and I would NEVER fly the flag of the Confederacy.. Would Great Britain fly the American flag?

The Confederacy was an ENEMY of the United States... My family STILL owns a major sugar can farm and when I was a kid I helped tear down well over 100 slave quarters... So no one can tell me any dumbass "its heritage not hatred man" bullshit.. I also served in the Corps and have seen the sacrifice of Marines and operators when defending THE flag and its "ridiculous" for some limp wristed big eared fuck - who has never thrown a lunch in anger much less rounds down range - talk about their opinion on this subject... You don't HAVE an opinion you silly ass.. Obviously you don't have the balls to state your opinion where it is actually heard and only come to this sad little site that most of us simply use as comic relief.. That would never happen. If there were 100 existing slave quarters on a property, a plantation no less, that would be protected. Furthermore, you can count on one hand a property with that many surviving structures.

Trust me - I am as conservative as they come.. In fact I served as a Libertarian (albeit I had to garner Republican votes) because the Republican party is so far left it sickens... Tearing down slave quarters is destroying something that had historical and archeological significance. Many historians and archaeologists are trying to piece together the lives of slaves in various different places in the south. By tearing them down, it's destroying historical evidence.

Jew Benjamin was run out of the South after the Civil War once it was exposed he sold out the Confederacy for personal gain and that he was a molester of little boys.. He was forced to live out the rest of his life in Europe. Fact. Every other major Southern figure stayed in the South and became a hero after the war and has many monuments and memorials in their honor. Benjamin has none. Fact.
