Since we have a thread about the "coolest BB", I thought it would be interesting to hear some of the opinions as to who is the most arrogant pro in the industry...
My pick is Shawn Ray. Sorry man. As much as I love your physique and consider you to be a great business man, you score the lowest among the rest when it comes to meeting with your fans.

DIV, I've met him at the Expos in the past as a fan as well some of my friends had a chance to and were not too psyched about talking to the dude. Not sure what you meant by rejection at some point...Nevertheless, don't get the thread off the subject. Read the topic, buddy...Peace!

I personally dont dwell on what people think of me, I can hardly contain myself when people size me up at shows and run to the boards to talk about how short, conceited, stuck up, cocky, bald, etc I am.

Shawn, are you 5'7 exactly?

If this is such a big deal, why not just wear shoe lifts? You could easily appear 5'9 or 5'10 with a good pair of lifts.

People commonly mistake confidance and success for being concieted, this usaly occurs by the individual whom makes these allegations of one being concieted , is usaly found to be unconfident in themselfs !
I have never found you to be conceited Shawn on the numerous times we have meet , but I have always noted that you were a strong confident individual whom had a remarkable passion for what you beleived in and what you were/are doing !!
Thats not being concieted thats being "hymself"

I hate to see it if he DOES win the Olympia... his already huge meathead will swell to incalcuable proportions...

If all the pros had the same mentality as s. ray when it comes to peoples opinions then they would all love getbig rather then write about how bad getbig is in MD every month because somebody cracked a joke about them on a board.

I agree completely. Shawn is cocky but he has a right to be. He's on the level and when he praises himself he's speaking solid objective truth. He knows exactly who that is. Maybe it's not as humble as he can be, but he sure has a right to believe what he does.

Don Youngblood was an example of a pro who had a right to be confident in this manner too but was extremely humble. Nothing wrong with that either.

Gotta disagree. At the Ironman I detected no arrogants what so ever with my son and I.
BUT, on the otherside of the spectrum Kevin Leverone didn't crack a smile or even look people in the eye when they went to talk to him. He just gave off a very non-approachable vibe!!

I don't agree with the comments about Shawn Ray, I've met him at the Toronto Pro and he was a class act all the way! very nice and friendly guy.

Definetly.. Ronnie seems like a real jackass, I haven't met him in person, but from what I've seen in interviews, on Leno and on the Olympia he's a conceited, egomaniacal prick, true he may be Mr.O but he comes off like there's no one that should even be allowed on stage next to him. I also don't like his comments about other bodybuilders, everyone's smoking crack, whatever.

Everytime I had to talk to Shawn at a show he has been really friendly. He introduced me to his wife, talked at length about this site and touched on BBing. But you have to realize that when you are standing on your feet for 10 plus hours and get asked the same question over and over, it may be difficult to be in a good mood all day. Add to the fact if some guys are competing in a show and are tired and hungry.

LOL, actually it's the exact opposite, people at Gold's Gym venice praised how nice he was to the "visitors" and he would actuallly stop his workout to take pics, you must not know many pros and are just picking shawn to get a rise out of him.
