3. Nov. 5, 2009: Thirteen soldiers and civilians were killed and more than two dozen wounded when a gunman walked into the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Fort Hood, Texas, and opened fire. Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.

4. Sept. 15, 1999: Seven people were killed and seven others injured when a gunman opened fire inside a crowded chapel at Fort Worth’s Wedgewood Baptist Church. Some worshipers believed that Larry Gene Ashbrook was pulling a prank and continued singing after the shooting began. The murderer killed himself.

5. On July 9, 2014, a mass shooting occurred in a home located in the town of Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston, leaving six family members dead, four of them children, and a lone survivor. The suspected shooter, later identified as 33-year-old Ronald Lee Haskell, was apprehended after a standoff that lasted several hours.[2][3][4] Haskell was related to the victims by a former marriage.[5]

6. On November 10, 2013, two people have been killed and at least 22 others injured in Cypress, a northwest suburb of Houston, Texas, when a house party erupted into a shooting.

Even if 5 were GFZ and 1 was not, AJ said that these shootings DONT happen in Texas. Even 1 incident nullifies his statement. A more appropriate statement should have been, "Mass shootings dont happen as frequently as they do in other states."
