Define noble. Saddam's hundreds of thousands of victims didn't qualify Iraq as an honorable war? Forget all the stated reasons for invasion, just address the body count alone.
If that war was "clearly ignoble," what makes this one any less so? ISIS hasn't even gotten close to Saddam's numbers yet.

No one killed more Muslims than Saddam. We know that he had designs to build nuclear weapons because he built a nuclear reactor in the late 1980s that Israel destroyed. Nobody remembers that.
We know he had WMDs because he used them. Use them against his own people. He attacked everyone of his neighbors. Spoke openly about invading Saudi Arabia and taking control of the entire Mideast oil supply. He continually violated the armistice agreement we had following Gulf War 1 so we don't invade Baghdad. He shot at our planes daily patrolling the no fly zones to keep him from slaughtering the Kurds. Just one attack on a patrolling plane is considered an act of war. He kicked the inspectors out and expected us to just take him on his word. To trust him.
People don't remember, or more likely never knew, that after continual violation of the UN Resolution Bush came before the UN and gave them an Ultimatum: either enforce international law or the US will. After 14 violations. 14 lines drawn in the sand that was ignored and mocked by Hussein we gave him one final chance known as UN Resolution 1441.
He again violated it and spit in our face. What were we suppose to do? How many lines in the sand do we draw? How many "Don't do it or else?" empty threats do we give to a dictator who showed he had designs to conquer the Middle East before international law becomes meaningless.
Our invasive of Iraq had more to do than just WMDs. Even though all the major intelligence agencies: Russian, French, German, UK believe he did. And the vast majority of Congress and the Senate supported the invasion until the popularity waned. And Bush did not lie. A lie is not saying something that is untrue. A lie is saying something you know is not true. All the world believe Saddam had WMDs but somehow Bush, by himself, ignoring all intelligence agencies including his own, knew for a fact that Hussein DID NOT have WMDs but said so anyway. This man, who so many considered a dumbass, knew something for a fact that the rest of the world didn't and lied about it
