Funny you mention this, I saw Kai and Phil's numbers this week. Interesting that Kai is more popular than Phil.... ;) :D ;D
I also find it interesting that Seid, Panda, Angelov and Ulysses Jr. have so many vs. IFBB pros.  Says alot.

I've actually been thinking about starting a thread like this for awhile- like, years- but never got around to it.

Phil was comfortably leading for awhile, but in the weeks following the line crossing incident, Kai's numbers exploded.

Reflections:

1)Kai and Phil are the two most popular "hardcore" bodybuilders. Runner up Kai is more popular.

2)After bodybuilding's leading superstars, the most followed bodybuilders are physique competitors. Lazar Angelov is by far the most followed.

3)I assumed physique guys would probably have more followers, but mid- to upper-level bodybuilders and physique stars seem to hover around the same insta-fame level.

I believe Lazar Angelov is not competitor.

TBH, Phil has a point when he said that BB is more popular than ever.

Look at some of the top stars and athletes from proper, mainstream sports and even they often don't have as many followers on social media than the likes of Jay, Kai and Phil do.
