UFC 189 the one and only thread

with UFC 189 becoming the biggest ufc show in history, i hope the mods will let us have this one and only "everything ufc 189 goes here"-thread on the main page... predictions, links to streams etc... just merge any ufc stuff in here...

let me start off with DON FRYE's predictions, now thats one of the few alpha males left on the planet, check it out

conor mcgregor vs chad mendes (with belt holder josé aldo out due to injury this is for the interim belt)
robbie lawler vs rory macdonald (2nd time they fight, first fight was a close decision) this fight is for the belt
matt brown vs tim means

dennis bermudez vs jeremy stephens
thomas de almedia vs brad pickett
mike swick vs alex garcia

mendes will take this.

mcgreggor has never faced a good wrestler in his career he has been matched up very carefully by the ufc

Mendes should have this.  The question is how prepared is he going to be.  On a bad day he should be able to beat this guy because generally speaking wrestling can neutralize a striker on any given day.  

But Mendes' striking has been really fucking good.  He's knocked out a lot more guys than Conor and has looked better at it too.  Also he's knocked out far better competition than COnor.  I think the size difference will play a factor, it might at least.  

Would love to see Dana's disgusted face when he's putting the belt around Mendes

id like mcgregor to win cause it would be fun for the sport but i really dont see it happening... but then i start searching predictions and all over the net people and sites are picking mcgregor so i dont know what to believe, one has to try to not jump on the hypetrain  :D
but in all honesty there's 4 or 5 top guys in the division i would conor would have a hard time beating

it has improved alot  hes had a few kos since training under ludwig

mendes does take the fight on short notice, but with the daily grind at alpha male its not like he's sitting at home all day posting at getbig so i think he will be up for it

One of the biggest hypetrain derailed, Aldo probably ducking and McGregor facing a not so easy opponent for the interim belt... Love me some badass Don Frye, moustaches of doom...

if conor can use his reach advantage while avoiding the takedowns i can see him winning but thats a big if... he throws a lot of sloppy kicks, doesnt take too much for mendes to take advantage of that and use to set up takedowns... he is taller but he isnt that much taller... then we have the endurance, mendes went 5 rounds with aldo, conor never went 5 rounds, conor only went 3 rounds once his whole career, mendes gone 3 rounds 9 times and im pretty sure they train at a very hard pace at alpha male.

it doesnt even have to be a spectacular win, it could be one of those mendes puts conor on his back every round for 5 rounds and wins by decision...

first weigh in was kinda funny, 155 for both guys one looked like a skinny kid(pfister) the other like a bodybuilder (cedeno), no idea how he made weight
