Testing the limits of the human body in any sport will likely result in numerous injuries and a potentially shortened life. Why is it any different if two consenting adults push themselves to the limit in a contact sport which they have trained for and dedicated themselves to?

For me, MMA is too gladiatorial ergo I just don't watch it.  Not that big into sports anyway.
