All things being equal blacks are more likely to have contact with the police. Whites are often seen as the only ones who are racist because we have the power. Even though blacks murder us it's not mentioned in the media because we are more powerful and have a history of harming blacks. Not recent history but history ie slavery and Jim crow etc
