Lol, Mir is my favorite fighter, but he got lucky. He did the exact thing he shouldn't have: go toe to toe with a one trick pony. Mir stalked Duffee with his hands down, and Duffee was able to get off first with that stiff right jab. It easily could have been Mir hitting the canvas if Todd had connected with that follow up left hand.

Mir has been working with a boxing coach for a while now, so I guess he feels more and more confident with his improved standup. Frank has never been in ripped condition before, but he looked extra out of shape for this fight. I told you guys that I thought Mir had one last title run in him (probably just wishful thinking from a fan) but now he is going to get someone ranked higher than him (Mir was ranked 10th) Maybe a Travis Browne or Arlovski matchup would be a possibility.

One thing is for certain, whomever he faces next will be a step up from Todd Duffee

Mir needs to get his head out of the clouds if he thinks he is suddenly Mike Tyson

dude got some power, at 262 pounds you dont wanna take a shot straight to the chin by that guy. amazing that he doesnt even have to take fights to the ground anymore, where he really shines.
as far as the fight went, you cant ask for more. two true heavy weights standing in the pocket trading blows.

crazy to think that he debuted in the ufc in 2001 (!!)

maybe they can put him against ben rothwell, although rothwell probably rather want to fight someone ranked higher

Again with the reading comprehension........I said Mir was lucky he didnt get dropped on that exchange. As Mir was walking towards Duffy with his hands down, Todd stuns Mir with a crisp right jab. He immediately follows with a left hand that just barely misses hitting flush. If Duffy connected with that left hand, Mir probably would have been in a world of trouble.

Its great that he showing confidence as of late, but knowing he is vulnerable to the counter right doesnt mean much when
you are getting beat to the punch. Im not surprised Mir knocked him out, Im surprised at how he did it.

I honestly believe that Mir has the talent to beat anyone in the division, he just needs to play it smart.

he slipped the right and hit with a beautiful left. It was a slick move.

If you watch the interview areil asks him "how do beat him" he says "be calculated" and goes on to talk about how he's "very vulnerable to the counter".
