The Washington County District Attorney’s Office dismissed the lewd molestation charge filed against Betsy Ann Brashear in June 2012 in exchange for her pleading no contest to a felony charge of indecent exposure. Associate District Judge Russell Vaclaw sentenced Brashear to three years suspended, a $500 fine and $100 payment for victim’s compensation. She also is required to register as a sex offender.
Brashear was arrested at Bartlesville’s Colaw Fitness Center after going for a late night work-out on June 21, 2012. Witnesses said Brashear was flirting with a 15-year-old boy who was spotting her on weights.
Police were called after Brashear and the teen went into a tanning room and the boy’s mother found them. Brashear denies taking her clothes off, but the mother told police she had stripped down to just a sports bra, the affidavit stated.
Brashear told police she had kissed the teen, but said things had gone no further.
