Multiple shootings at military recruiting centers in Tennessee, USA

The U.S. Navy tweeted Thursday that there has been a shooting at a Navy reserve center on Amnicola Highway in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Navy also said it was investigating a shooting at another Navy building in the city.

One officer is "down" in connection with the shooting, Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke told reporters.

He was not specific about the officer's condition.

"This is a very, very terrible situation and we need to go figure out how we can handle it," he said.

Meanwhile, a witness in Chattanooga told CNN that she saw a gunman fire shots at a building that houses military recruiting offices Thursday morning.

The witness, Gina Mule, said she was watching through a window from a restaurant where she works as a server. In an earlier account, she said she saw a man with "a high-powered rifle" fire multiple shots around 10:50 a.m. ET.

Four people were killed in shootings in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Thursday morning, Mayor Andy Berke said. The suspected shooter is also dead, he said.

Investigators "have not determined whether it was an act of terrorism or whether it was a criminal act," FBI special agent in charge Ed Reinhold told reporters. "We are looking at every possible avenue, whether it was terrorism -- whether it was domestic, international -- or whether it was a simple, criminal act."

U.S. Attorney Bill Killian earlier told reporters that authorities were treating the shooting as an "act of domestic terrorism."

A U.S. official says the gunman in the shootings in Tennessee has been identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez.

He was believed to have been born in Kuwait, and it was unclear whether he was a U.S. or Kuwaiti citizen. The official was speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing, sensitive investigation. It was not immediately clear whether the gunman's first name was spelled Muhammad or Mohammad.

He is from Hixson, Tennessee, which is just a few miles across the river from Chattanooga.

Authorities and officials say the gunman killed four Marines and wounded a police officer and others in two attacks on military facilities. The gunman was also dead.

Absolutely not. It was a cowardly act by backwards members of a gutter religion. It wasn't  bushs fault anymore that today was obamas fault. I firmly believe that we need to use proven profiling techniques to arrest and/or kill these ass wipes. Israel does this with great efficiency.   It's no great mystery who commits these crimes.  Male, Muslim, young-ish, with ties to radical groups.

But Barry isn't going to enact this, just like bush didn't, Clinton didn't, other bush didn't, Reagan didn't and carter didn't.

If this happened in tel aviv today, Israel would have already dropped 25 missiles on Lebanon and the West Bank. They'd find this dudes house and Bulldoze it. You don't like it, suck my circumsized weener!
