bwa ha ha right on croatch - so say some novice asshole pays jason 3500 just for prep advice, this doesnt include food or gear, 7k for a fucking trophy unbelievable
It all ties in with the "act as if" generation. Chances are, you're not a pro bber...and will not come close to looking like one. So, take some gear, tan up, pay trainers/nutritionist, deep tissue guy, plane tickets...BOOM...act as if you're really a pro in the activity. The more you're paying, the more "serious" it makes what you're entering. Be sure to post consistently on social media about the BIG show, etc. and how nervous you are. Then get approval from friends and strangers as to how you look great BRO, but still think you're holding a bit of water:(
"My trainer is the BEST...but he's expensive. It's $110 per session. I really notice results though. He suggested to double my anabolics, start insulin, and eat more...and along with his secret gym program. I must say...I GREW LIKE A BEAST!!!"
Much like me joining a softball league, then buying a bucket of Big League Chew with a $400 glove. Talking to people about the big tournament coming up across the state. Somehow confusing recreation for playing MLB.
Having activities you enjoy is great, but just put things into perspective. You're an old dude on gear who wants to play Dorian Yates for the weekend.
It's fun to watch though, so who am I to stop someone.
