It was Chris Rock's best work by far. It's the kind of work that you can only put out when you're at that age he is and at that period of time in his life where he is. He finally did something not giving a shit about if people like it or not.
The movie got me thinking though, what will define you as a person, as a man, in your life? For most people the basic needs of life are never fulfilled in order to do the higher level thinking you need to ask yourself questions like, what makes me happy? Who am i? What's my purpose?
When you have a mortgage, a wife and kids you simply do not have the time or luxury to be philosophical about your station in life. Personally, i got lucky in a lot of ways but made some major mistakes along the way. But thankfully i'm not ultimately tied down and i know things will be okay in the future.
