O'Malley Blames ISIS on 'Climate Change'

Martin O'Malley said the rise of the terrorist organization ISIS in the Middle East can be traced to climate change. In a Friday interview on Bloomberg aired Monday, the Democratic presidential candidate and former Maryland governor said a drought in Syria helped create the conditions for ISIS's growth in the region.

"One of the things that preceded the failure of the nation-state of Syria, the rise of ISIS, was the effect of climate change and the mega-drought that affected that region, wiped out farmers, drove people to cities, created a humanitarian crisis. It created the...conditions of extreme poverty that has led now to the rise of ISIL and this extreme violence," O'Malley said.

1) did drought + shitty farm conditions lead to more people joining ISIS?  Yes or no?  Did a SINGLE person join a terror group because their farm closed?  Yes or no, without insults please.

There is no doubt that the temperature is rising.  I never bought into man-made, like Newt, Palin, Pelosi, Gore, and other liberals.  BUT if Malley had stopped at "record temperatures have led to greater terrorist recruitment" - Would he be correct?  Do more people join terror groups when crops fail?  yes or no?

Off-the-charts heat is "getting to be a monthly thing," said Jessica Blunden, a climate scientist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. June was the fourth month of 2015 that set a record, she said. "There is almost no way that 2015 isn't going to be the warmest on record," she added.
