A sport??

I was watching tv yesterday and i switched to a sports channel.......BEACH SOCCER was on

How the F is that considered a legit sport? And to top it off i saw that it was the "world cup??" and sanctioned by FIFA???


What a shitty place our world is turning into.
(dont get me started on TV programs and music)

The goddam show (MV) exploded on american culture like a f'in nuetron bomb!  Music, car, clothes, architecture, etc., NO television show has ever nor ever will again affect society as much as MV.  If Mann could have incorporated everything his idea affected he'd be a billionaire.  Before MV South Beach was homeless people dump.  Johnson said when they filmed the first scenes of ep. #1 he thought "What the hell are we doing in such a run down area?".  Those old art deco mom & pop hotels are now worth exponentially more than they were in 1983.  We really need a "Sonny Crockett" as male role model now more than ever!

After school I watched the original Batman, Bozo, Leave it to Beaver and Lost In Space.

I actually watched Walter Cronkite give the news after dinner with my dad.

I'd say that Mad Men has a similar effect, only its just bringing back previous styles.

pretty much same. no "cable" back then. We just had our 3 local channels plus 1 french(im in Canada).

Now there are HUNDREDS of channels...and i think that explains all the shitty sports, tv shows now. There are soooo many different channels that networks are looking for content to fill their airtime. So in that proccess we get..........

5 shows about cake/cupcakes
beach soccer
3 CSI's
3 NCSI's
4 shows about wedding/wedding dresses
15 different celebrities have shitty shows about their "lives". Most cancelled after 1 season only to be replaced by another shitty 1

etc...
