Pretty much...

The only thing keeping Barao up during the last 10 seconds of that fight were the blows Dillashaw delivered from both the left and right sides. Barao was practically unconscious on his feet and simply had no out due to Dillashaw's strikes keeping him from falling to the ground.

The Gomi/Lauzon fight was worse. Gomi was face down unconscious and the ref still didn't stop it, Lauzon did.

Doesn't matter that he didn't drop, he was out on his feet and was done. No need to take continual blows like that, completely unnecessary head trauma, you could literally see neurons fleeing his brain in droves.

Barao was still defending/countering albeit not very effective. But had the fight been stopped immediately Herb Dean would've been scrutinized as well.

Really, championship fights imho should go to submission/(t)ko rather than points/referee stoppage anyways.
