You will often get this from people who have something against people with advanced levels of education. Seems strange that people would really care or get mad.
I don't care if people have trades or skills (blue collar). My pops and brother are blue collar workers (Truck driver and works with gas lines). Both make a good living.
Yet, you have people all the time say, "People with less education make more than a PhD, blah, blah, blah." I didn't go for my Doctorate because I wanted to make more money than a truck driver. I chose to go for a Doctorate because I love my field. Most people that go for advanced degrees do not become rich. They go for those degrees because it affords them certain opportunities in their field, which may or may not translate into a lot of money.
But still, on AVERAGE, college educated people make more than people with less education or no college. OBVIOUSLY, this does NOT apply to every care, that is why its on AVERAGE!
I think people with lesser or no college feel good about themselves when they say, "Person X has no education and makes more than you or works harder." Okay, great, I really don't care. I mean, do they think they are putting us down?
Plus, its almost impossible to say who works harder, as that is subjective. Money is objective, obviously. Even with money, time, etc, Id still do it all over again!
