Top show, might be best ever... 10/10 so far S1 6E in. No explanation needed just got to watch it... just watch first 5-7min -- it's a boomer!

It's a great show. From the very beginning, the social-engineering exploits and tech have been pretty much spot-on. I am very impressed and I wasn't planning on being impressed. In the first episode, he started to explain to another character how he had obtained all the info on him. I thought, "oh, here we go"

And the explanation left me speechless. It was all perfectly plausible. He used the phrase "Tor exit node" in a sentence! Properly! On TV!

Last night's was great. From the USB drives to using a remote Bluetooth keyboard on the cruiser's computer. So cool.

Let's put it to you this way, all of the show's hacking is done in a Linux bash terminal window, with a black background and white text, the way that God intended.

I'll def watch at least a pilot ep. The last good hacking show I watched was a documentary about cyber crime lol.. Other than that - "Hackers" takes the win, but for whole diff reasons.

Like the show. I think Christian Slater's character(Mr. Robot) is his imagination...The show has a Fight Club vibe to it. Sucks that homo's run Hollywood because the kid in the show should be blowing his money on high priced escorts. He's already doing drugs. Mix in a ton of hot whores and the show would have been much better...

Serious question. If I'm not into technology will I still enjoy the show? Cause a TV show about hacking doesn't really sound interesting to me, but who knows.

I like the casting very much. There's an American Psycho feel to it.

did you ever watch "blackhat"?

some of the shit that scrolled by on the terminal window had me laughing hard, though i can't recall any specifics now. great film, nonetheless.

also funny how people in these shows (not this one, specifically -- haven't seen it) are able to glance at a bunch of code and instantly understand it

Independence Day. Jeff Goldblum's character used Python to "hack" the alien spacecraft

. Thank goodness it was running an x86 processor and a python interpreter.

haha wow, i was too young to notice

python, back then? a little "ahead of the times". most of the stuff in blackhat, ironically, was like c or some other low-level language. like, walls of utterly archane code... of course chris hemsworth can parse it in 2 seconds
