Ramy didn't peak for the Arnold.  He was probably 85% and was good enough to win, but he didn't go for it on conditioning. One presumes he and  Farah have it all planned out and he will truly peak for the O. If he nails conditioning and has the size and completeness he displayed at the Arnold, Phil is in trouble.

Dethroning the champ has only happened a handful of times (Dexter beating  Jay still confuses me, because Dexter always brings the same package). Ramy  on the cover fits in with hyping the show. Many men have been labeled next, and have gotten a Flex cover, far fewer win the O.

Dude has a great build, but they hype these guys to build interest in the show.

You are comparing a 305lb Big Ramy to a 198lb Shawn Ray. Yes Shawn is slightly leaner than Ramy; but Shawn would not have been able to beat a 260lb Cedric McMillian (like Ramy did in Brazil).

Shawn beat a 285lb Nasser , 275lbs Dillett , 315lb Lou Ferigno , etc , etc , and my point is what Ramy needs Shawn has in spades and had in spades since when he first started training so it leads me to believe this " muscle maturity " polished-look to your physique is genetic and really can't be trained for , which proves my point that he will always finish behind guys who have it so in essence he'll never win the big one.

Ramy has yet to be in top shape.  I disagree with the idea that you can't train for muscle quality.  He is just afraid to lose size.  Strydom did it in 89, but he was too stringy then.  Really the quality is to some extent just leanness and dryness.  He needs to stop training his legs except for leg extensions and hamstring curls.  Go fairly high reps and squeeze.  He has plenty plenty pity of size.  Charles Glass would make him squeeze.
