Bush is perhaps the lamest, suckiest, most watered down, fucked over, corporate grunge ripoff rock ever. They fucking suck. They had one record that sold and that was only because grunge was super popular and they got swept up in that trend even though they weren't really a part of it. I turn on the radio occasionally and I am shocked and disturbed that their shitty songs from 20 years ago are still being played. Fuck this planet.

Very good post about Bush, shitty band, I hate his voice. I think they got air time here because they're from Canada.

I just watched a few of their hits on YouTube and couldn't shake the thought that this was a better looking version of Kurt Cobain simply regurgitating the same shit. The fact that Gavin became a huge star is solely attributable to his androgenous look and not his music. Imagine the singer of Trixter or Firehouse becoming nearly as famous and Jon Bon Jovi and it all becomes clear.

Saw them at SXSW back before they hit big... Maybe it was 94 or something.

I liked everything Zen... nothing else really clicked for me.

I never really liked the Grunge movement, so that is most likely a big part of it.

No hate on the guy.

Him doing Glycerine (I think that was it), solo in the rain on MTV was a pretty memorable moment.

Maybe one of the last big moments MTV had that was related to music.

Always appreciated me some Bush, but don't recall Gavin carrying any torch as you suggest. PJ, Soundgarden, and Alice kept the genre afloat - all much better than Nirvana, you ask me.
