For me it's been over 20 years, but I really should find some Spandex shorts for the gym.  Baggy basketball shorts like most wear make me look too dumpy.

gotta admit, it was raining like a motherfcker so I put spandex pants on when I went outside to do sprints. All the women that walked passed me smiled at me, and I completely lost it when one stopped and asked my name and what am I training for etc. so I choked her while I screamed "leave me alone! I know these pants are gay, you don't have to be sarcastic! But these feel so much lighter during the rain!"

1990 or so. I remember as a kid buying 2 pairs of bike shorts, and a Levi's Button Your Fly shirt for summer, and ditching the shorts after a few wears.

On their own, never, but, a few years ago, I dropped the Fruit of the Looms, went to these, and haven't looked back.

If you have a chaffing issue, these are the answer.

More likely you'll be wondering why you didn't make the switch sooner.

The UAs are the most expensive and IMO the best, but Russell makes a serviceable version, which you can find at Walmart, for about half the price.
