So erm he

wrecked his marriage over islington state school (shit hole) vs grammar

loved the IRA

prob loves ISIS

loves nationalised industries and strikes

loves asteriods wiping out humanity

higher taxes/ govt spending when the govt spends 50% of gdp already

loves pigeons that shit everywhere in public

dismissed serbia's acts as not genocide in kosovo

Mr Corbyn also backed a motion welcoming England's success in the 1996 European Championships but criticised the 'jingoism and nationalism in the pages of sections of the tabloid press'.

It added it was 'reminiscent of Hitler's use of sport to enhance his evil regime in the 1930s'.

so come september you will have the eton toffs vs the delusional and deranged on the socialist benches (lab, snp). its like the clock went back 130 years

As long as he don't screw kids, wear women's underwear and smoke crack - then he's definitely a step in the right direction.

I'd rather Mhairi Black swap and take over.

If the tories lose a few by elections and it wd only take 7 defections or by elections and a left wing coalition could be govt here.

if we have a recession in the next 6-18m this populist demagogue might just squeak in, if he captures the grey haired, poor and young votes.... and that is coming from a UKIP voter.

Pmq today he asked about housing, rents, cost of living, mental heath funding, housing association funding. Wasn't much Cameron could say as he has failed in all those areas outside the living wage which us really just an inflation ploy.

to be fair to the guy many of the ludicrous quotes are taken out of context and he will learn soon enough it's better to shear the rich rather than slaughter them

What I read was that his wife divorced him because she wanted to send their son to a grammar school and he was insisting in the local Islington comprehensive (one of the worst in the country).

If nothing else, it shows he stuck to his principles (although not necessarily a good thing).

That was his second wife in the 90s I think

Conservative and Labour 'leaderships' are both a trainwreck at the moment.

I think they are more libertarian, pro small business, pro opportunity than lobbying for organised labour...

Labour no longer represent what working men stand for anymore... I could kick the telly when they still try and argue the benefits of immigration.

They wont admit it drives skilled wages down, they keep talking about minimum wage jobs but ignore the fact that trades men who earn 12 to 15 n hr are undercut by Easter bloc workers who are paid just above min wage.

I inspect a load of factories with a skeleton english workforce bulked up with foreigners, if they had to work for the same wage this would never happen.

What made me laugh was all of these nit wit lefties talking about how the labour movement has delivered rights and benefits and without them there wouldn't be any.

The economic reality is that the rights come from the productivity of the workers . That's why workers in China and India have little rights and benefits.  Workers in the west are more productive which in turn is down to a mix of the businesses, technology, technical skills, capital, worker skills, management, governance, investment, having a healthy workforce... Nothing to do with the bob crows of the world.
