People couldn't stand it because it got old. In my opinion, its okay if you joke about that stuff sometimes. But when its in EVERY post, it gets old. This is why comedians are always writing new material. No one wants to hear the same old recycled garbage over and over.

Yes, we will have to agree to disagree. Its all about preference. Some people liked the same old stuff from him. I found it old and tiresome (as some people did, too).

Yes, I think this is a splendid idea. I can set this up. People can PM me and suggest ideas for posts by Halo. I can write down these ideas on a piece of paper and put them in a shoebox. Then, I will shake up the shoebox and pick out an idea. I will read the idea, then send the suggestion to Halo.

Obviously, I would be impartial during these posting decisions.

I disagree. Most every persona here has a "schtick" that they come back to again and again. And it's funny for that reason. Halo was simply the bodybuilding Id in all of us.

I've noticed some famous comedians have toured with the same material for years and years. Maybe slightly bettering the same jokes. It's as if they only have a certain amount of good material in them, and then the brain is empty. Kind of like some musicians.

As far as Halo, almost everyone here used to hate him, said he was the worst poster ever. Now most love him. Next up, Shizzo, getbig's future best poster.

Yes, but even most of us mix it up from time to time. I mean, even you talk about something beyond guns, hunting, and being a crazy republican/conservative.

I found gh15 to be veeery repetitive. But I recognize that he made a splash, and came to enjoy reading him. Some posters are just special in that they evoke strong feelings. Usually I find these entertaining.

A side note regarding OP, female posters have a LOUSY track record. I find almost none funny and they effect the board in a negative manner with whiteknighting and complaints being made. Bikinislut - if she was a female - was an exception to this. She took it like a champ.
