I believe its highly irresponsible for ANY dating site to be able to offer "dating" services where it's members are below the age of 18....you are just asking for trouble.
Similar laws exist to protect vulnerable teenagers in terms of tobacco and alcohol purchasing laws
And you cannot enter a casino or gambling establishment here in UK unless you are 18 and in other countries 21.

I don't believe these types of dating sites should get a pass or be treated any different.
Highly immoral in my view and socially irresponsible and should be banned and deemed illegal entirely.

My two cents.

Girls as young as 13 are flocking to use a teen dating website which allows them to be targeted with vile sexual messages from older men.

MyLOL.com, described by worried NSPCC officials as a “playground for paedophiles”, is one of a number of sites rapidly overtaking social networking favourites like Facebook.

Its very existence is unknown to many parents. But it is the most popular dating site for under-18s in the UK and is visited by more than 300,000 users a month.

Shockingly, many users are adults trying to contact naive youngsters, a Sunday People investigation found.

The site allows anyone aged 13 to 25 to register, give out contact details and post provocative pictures of themselves.

But there is nothing to stop perverts using false ages to join.

Some users openly say they are men looking to meet under-age girls.

And unlike sites like Facebook, the “profile” details of members are automatically visible.

Our reporter posed as a 13-year-old girl to sign up to the site using the name Polly2.

Within minutes she was bombarded with private messages from six males. Three of these were grown men.

One user called Jamie69 claimed on his profile that he was a 14-year-old boy from South Hayling, Hants.

Disturbingly, he clearly had more in mind than a friendly chat.

He wasted no time asking if the conversation could be moved to a Skype video call – so they could do “naughty” things.

Our shocked reporter, still playing up her role as an innocent teenager, replied that she had never done anything like that before.

The encounter took an even darker turn when he offered: “I’ll go first”.

She then asked if he knew she was 13 and, chillingly, he said he did.

A quick Google search with the details Jamie69 had provided for Skype confirmed what our girl feared – he was actually a man in his 40s from America.

Next to message was Shzkhan01, a 20-year-old man who said he was studying at Salford University.

He showered our girl with compliments, telling her how gorgeous she was and even saying: “I luv u.”

She grew increasingly uncomfortable as for two hours he pestered her to upload more pictures and move the conversation to Skype.

He chillingly explained they could use the “cam” and trade pictures.

Our investigator said she was upstairs at home, while her strict mum was downstairs.

ShzKhan01 then said it was probably best that she wait until her mum went to bed before Skyping.

He went on: “I can see ur not comfortable,” before adding: “Ur 14.”

When our girl said she was 13, he leered: “Wow. Periods started?”

A stream of sickening messages followed, asking if she was a virgin and describing his private parts.

He revealed: “I would like to see u naked. That’s y askin Skype to trade pics over there.”

ShzKhan01 then asked her to send intimate pictures.

The Sunday People also found teenage girls posing provocatively on the website, wearing little clothing or even naked.

One girl had posted her mobile number and email address on her page and revealed she was 13.

A picture of her had attracted the attention of 24-year-old Surferman, who commented: “Too hot!”

Another user, aged 14, had posted an image of herself lifting up her shirt to show her stomach.

Male user Brad14, who is 16, wrote on her page: “Let’s see some t**s.”

My Lol.com uses a similar format to Facebook, with private messaging systems, a news feed and a wall on which to post pictures and make comments.

The difference is that profiles are all public.

Web experts have warned that teenagers anxious to evade parental control are abandoning well-known sites like Facebook and turning to unregulated places on the internet.

It is estimated that Facebook could lose up to 80 per cent of its users in three years to newer sites including MyLOL, Ask.fm and Chatroulette.

A quarter of MyLOL users are believed to be under 16, making the site a potential magnet for paedophiles.

Benjamin Spratt, a 28-year-old taxi driver from Chelmsford, Essex, was jailed for nine years last year for sexual activity with a 14 and 15-year-old after he used the site to groom young girls by lying about his age.

Claire Lilley, head of child safety online at the NSPCC, said of MyLOL: “It’s very shocking. It took me three minutes to find a 24-year-old man messaging a 14-year-old girl, asking her to connect with him.

"It is actively encouraging children to meet strangers by sending suggestions of people who match their profile.

"It is actively encouraging children to meet strangers by sending suggestions of people who match their profile.

“We’re extremely worried because it puts children at huge risk – giving out personal details, even how to locate them and what school they are at.”

Many teenagers post what is called “Kik” user name, for an instant messaging app for smartphones.

Claire added: “There is lots of nudity on MyLOL, even though it’s against their terms and conditions.

"They don’t seem to be doing very much to enforce it.

“Users are sent lists of members who match your profile. They promote connecting with strangers in a way that Facebook doesn’t.

"Anyone can see your account and it seems difficult to limit your profile.

"Anyone can message you and you are asked, ‘Do you want to meet him?’ It’s not just an online thing, they are promoting meeting in real life.”

The website says it takes no responsibility for interaction between members and advises people to tell police if they are sexually propositioned.

Claire said: “There are vulnerable children on there.

"Parents need to discourage children from going on this site. Be very clear about the risks.

“Don’t let them put their school, their location, their address, phone number or Kik pin.

"Explain there are people on that site who are not who they say they are.”

MyLOL, registered in Quebec, Canada, was unavailable for comment last night.

The site was founded by 18-year-old Australian Anthony Lipari but it is not known if he still runs it.

In 2008 he said: “We state clearly in the terms of service, specifically not to give out personal information.”

Asked about the danger of older men contacting young children he replied: “What can we do? We can’t actually find out if they’re paedophiles.

“They’re just guys using the site. They can report problems if guys are abusing them

This isn't about sexual consent laws or a discussion about underage sex at all, we have already had 30 pages of that....so lets not confuse the issue or derail this thread.

What my gripe is about these sites is that if you think logically these commercial sites are potentially making money from sexual predators using them to exploit underage teenagers and that is just plain wrong and unacceptable.

It is a sophisticated form of pimping just like how sugardaddie sites are sophisticated forms of online prostitution for a niche market.

They know what they are doing.

There was a TV programme on this I watched last year. Some undercover reporter posing as a teenage girl.
Can't remember name of the programme, got a feeling it might have been The Panorama Report.

No, not until the recent threads here, got me thinking about it.
I might make a fake account there as a teenage girl and report the filth and set some pedo's up good and proper.
Then again I might not bother.

WTF does this mean? Are these some physical demarcations that bound your "territory?" How do people "test" you? Like a standardized test? I hope it's not an IQ test.

If by "fix", you mean that you kick their ass, can you come to the states? Specifically Ferguson, MO?
