This resembles a compliment so I'll take it.

Are you suggesting that Joon's inspiring ventures, and the times he insufflates cocaine hydrochloride, are somewhat in correlation bigmc?

If it's the City the only career I'd advise is Compliance related. We get paid more than brokers nowadays.

But I technically left the City now, just killing off a consultancy contract and seeing it through then I'm out. Going into Oil & Gas in emmerging markets, already set up and contracts under the belt signed.

It would be in the City. Why compliance-related? Is it just the sheer demand, or big contractor salaries, or that it's not 'too niche'?

Glad to hear that mate, all the best I hope you smash it, sincerely.

I was considering looking at the oil & gas recruitment as lots of comission to be made there, but a particular opportunity dealing mainly with salesforce CRM has come up, that I feel would be easier to monopolise if you know what I mean...

i would find a niche specialist industry

girl i know works with vets makes a very good living

any technical sales is good too high stuff turnover decent salaries hence commission

if you are dealing with the "city" you would need to come from a certain background to mix in those circles usually

its a closed network in some aspects

the oil industry is about to go through the floor its in real crisis

renewables is another growth industry with some specialist roles

Compliance is the only career in the up in the City...traders are clutching at straws, tight margins = low profits and big players all de-risking and reducing their exposure....one of my mates who works on the high yield bonds watched the full tour de France live....he literally does zero business....in the past his desk used to close 600 trades a day.

Junior compliance and AML officers get 300/350pd...mid level 400/500..VP level 600 to 800 more or less as a daily rate..usually contracts rolled out for 3 to 6 months and keep getting extended.

Thanks for that advice mate.

Friend of mine is killing it (for his age) working in the CRM niche with Microsoft Dynamics. Pulling in close to six figures at 22 ffs lol. Are you saying that it's quite hard to get a training placement in niche recruitment businesses, or that once you're in, it's hard to network within those niches for leads, unless you 'know what you're on about' type of thing?

Reason I ask, is that said pal, got a lucky break at 18 working for a very shitty local firm in Southend that happened to specialise in Microsoft Dynamics, so by the time he'd done that for a couple of years he literally walked into the City job he has now doing the same thing....i'm wondering if he'd have got the City role without the expertise...

This is true. But it's about as appealing a job at being a local govt policy development coordinator. If we exit the EU a lot of this red tape bs will be repealed.

Mate of mine, Ayman Najafi runs a recruitment firm in dubai. I'll give u his number if u want ring him. My advice is to move to Dubai they will give you free apartment and great salary that pisses on any UK salary and its all tax free so already you are making like 30-40 percent more income there....not to mention that its nice and hot and by the sea and has great gyms and best pussy in the world hands down.
