Those massive losses are wreaking havoc on egg prices. The USDA predicted Wednesday that a dozen large Grade A eggs in New York would cost between $1.60 and $1.66 on average in 2015 – well above the $1.30 to $1.36 price range predicted just last month. It would also be an uptick from last year's record-setting $1.42 per carton price.

Since you want to take things to a literal point, we'll do that. But just an FYI, I bought a couple of dozen eggs last night and it cost me $11.58. So I apologize if I paid 5.79 instead of 7. Yes, 7 was just a bit of an exaggeration. But don't think for one second because fuel (gas) goes down, everything else does as well. Those costs get made up somewhere and its usually at the grocery story.

No. If he's buying Grade A free range eggs, then are running about 6 bucks a dozen.

You can even reach 7 if you are buying the organic eggs.

I buy regular grade A eggs and they are 4.84 a dozen if you buy 60.

I'm a little upset that obama has personally worked with the lib leadership of Coach's state to raise egg prices from 1.66 to 5.79.   Some coordination with the gas industry was also introduced by Coach.  I think the gas-egg-DNC conglomerate has finally been exposed thanks to Coach and what some believe his his pro-Trump stance.  Coach, have you endorsed Trump yet, or still playing the fence?

Gas price under bush went to $4.21 a gallon and was over $3.00 a gallon most of his last term in office.

The only reason gas was at $1.85 when President Obama took office is because of the economic crash which greatly reduced demand and the crash effected all countries not just the US.
