good analysis

I expect he mainly gets support from his wife

I don't think he has a wife anymore.

No I wasn't a fan of Shawn...I don't know if these guys are douches so much as they are confident and that makes people uncomfortable. I'm fine with a confident man who thinks he is great.  Shawn thought he was great and he backed it up.  I also can't see Shawn engaging teenagers on twitter and talking about people's mothers.

I know real athletes who don't behave like this and people are saying way worse things and they delete the comments or ignore them.  The ones who waste time ranting about haters and arguing with internet people are EXTREMELY insecure and have terrible support systems.

If he were in his early 20's I would give him a pass but dude is a little too old to be engaging with the trolls on social media.  I look sometimes and I am embarrassed for him because he sounds like his feelings are really hurt.

I don't think he's a bad guy.  I think it's the opposite actually.  To be honest after the foolery at the press conference and his "victory" speech where it started to turn into another rant against the "HATERS" I didn't care for him at all.  I could honestly see why people didn't like him and trolled him. I just think he needs better people around him.  Your support system means everything when you've got this type of pressure on.

True. At the press conference, he was filling up with Defensive-Balleritis. This condition usually exists when confronted and put on the spot. This is when you see the fragile ego come into play, and he started to get on the level of his competitors instead of being above the fray.

And Kai, for all his talk is no better. They both have animosity towards one another---because they probably mirror what the other wants or dislikes. Kai and his fruit escapades, and Phil seeming to have things easy.

And that maybe the gist of all this. It seems that Phil has had everything easy for him. A laid out plan, winning shows right out of the gate, and then Kai being a road block in winning the Arnold Classic. So, Phil has seen Kai and those who support him as "anti-Phil", and everybody who criticizes Phil is anti-Phil.

This is true, mostly because people in glass houses are advised against throwing rocks.

And who has the time to make such videos?

I actually did say this yesterday because now it's really starting to get annoying and embarrassing.  He won't lose this year.  He will probably retire in the next 2 years because he will be over it and realize he has the opportunity to do much more than sell supplements and put his body through this stuff while making a LOT more money.

Last year when Phil posted on here he seemed pretty cool didn,t really shy away from anything.  To my knowledge it is the only time a reigning mr.o has posted on the board, it was pretty cool of him to come on here.  That being said phil needs to wake up and realize he needs bodybuilding, bodybuilding does not need phil. His remarks about Arnold were off base and show a complete lack of respect for both the sport that made phil and the sanctity of the iron brotherhood. this i believe is why many do not have any love for phil, not because they are haters, or think they are better than phil, despite whatever he may think.

Are you implying Shawn's mother walked the streets?
